Westward ho! Columbus Business First reports that land leasing activity is spreading into central Ohio.
While still concentrated in eastern Ohio, drilling for oil and natural gas reserves in the promising Utica shale play has started in Muskingum and Knox counties on the edge of Central Ohio. And now government offices in Delaware and Licking counties have started to see oil and gas company representatives looking over property deeds and old mineral rights leases.
