Dane County Turnout Good But Probably Not That Good

Dane County contains the city of Madison and of course the University of Wisconsin. It is expected to go three to one for Tom Barrett. This morning country clerk Karen Peters was predicting an 80 to 88 percent turnout rate. Would you believe 75 percent? It looks as if the clerk's projection was a bit too optimistic. Seventy-five percent would only mark a 9-point increase from the 2010 election, and turnout statewide is expected to be 10 to 15 percentage points higher than it was in 2010.
