Santorum Holds Small Lead In Ohio

This morning's Quinnipiac poll shows Santorum to be leading narrowly in Ohio but proves everything you thought you knew about Santorum to be wrong. Santorum leads the field with 35 percent compared to Romney's 31 percent. Gingrich has a noncompetitive 17 percent while Paul pulls 12 percent. The February 27 poll had Santorum at 36 and Romney at 29. Thoughts that Santorum runs poorly among women are erroneous as he beats Romney in this demographic 37 to 33 percent. Among men Santorum leads 34 to 28 percent. Santorum loses to Romney by one percent among those making less than $30,000, 32 to 33 percent but leads in all other income demographics including those making over $100,000 where he leads 42 to 33 percent.
