Garrison Keillor to Host Fund Raiser for Obama

No ethical conflicts here. Garrison Keillor of NPR's A Prairie Home Companion is hosting a fund raiser for Barack Obama. A member of the publicly funded medium hosts a fund raiser for a presidential candidate and all is well. One is hard put to draw an analogy considering that NPR does not have a conservative on its payroll and NPR has a monopoly on federal funding but imagine the uproar we would hear if, say, conservative writer for the Wall Street Journal Daniel Henninger were to host a fund raiser for Rick Santorum. During the 2008 campaign we were told to swallow hard and take it when the presidential debate was hosted by NPR's Gwen Ifill who was in the midst of writing a book about Senator Barack Obama. Maybe this fall Ann Coulter and Michael Savage can take turns hosting the debates.
