The nation's first Idiocratic presidency

So Obama gets up in front of a crowd of adoring sycophantic Obamabots, tells either a lie or an egregious error (take your pick) and what does the crowd do?
Why, they cheer, of course! Scream and faint!
How is it even REASONABLE to think you'd save $8,000 a YEAR on gas?
“Now, because of these new standards for cars and trucks, they're going to -- all going to be able to go further and use less fuel every year.  And that means pretty soon you’ll be able to fill up your car every two weeks instead of every week -– and, over time, that saves you, a typical family, about $8,000 a year,” Obama said.
“We like that!” shouted an audience member.
“You like that, don't you?” Obama replied.
Except it’s not true.
The article at Politico corrects the figure to be $8000 over the lifetime of the car which, depending on which administration is in office, could be anywhere from 3 to 25 years.
But the fact that everyone applauded such a ridiculous number without question is truly disturbing.
Could Obama get up there and say anything, anything that would cause his cult followers to gasp? or disbelieve? or even question the authenticity of the remark?
That Obama can preach to his cult followers, who happen in this case to be auto workers in a Daimler plant, that drilling doesn't help but algae or wind power WILL is breathtakingly stupid and yet remains unquestioned.
Maher can say the stupidest, meanest sh$t and the hyenas in his audience throw their heads back and laugh like maroons.

Surely we have descended into an Idiocracy.
He's got a 3 point plan to fix everything anyway.
