The Obamas plan yet more vacations

  Oh, you might be thinking the appropriate post to write today should be about the crisis in Ukraine, where Obama has made a mess out of everything by promising to help defend that part of the world after encouraging them to dump all their defenses.
 Or you might be thinking it'd be more timely to write about the roaring voices coming out of CPAC today, for once actually articulating conservative principles, uncowed by Leftist jabbering.
  Or maybe even the orchestrated scene Elijah Cummings made yesterday at the IRS hearing which the "Mainstream" media obligingly covered rather than the five times the mean Lois Lerner claimed she would reveal her guilt by telling the truth pled the fifth.
  But no.
  This blog post is about Michelle Obama and her next vacation.
  I started writing this about 2 hours ago but then realized oh, wait. I'm on the wrong upcoming vacation.
  May the lady have another?
  We've written before about the Obamas' complete unconcern about optics; I mean, how bad does it look when the public consistently hears PSAs run all over radio & tv about starving children and then you place your dogs at your fancy crystal & china mugu beef (or whatever) dinner table.

  So naturally, when I heard Michelle Obama was planning another vaca in China for the children, that is, her children, I assumed that would be the next vaca, considering they've already had 3 this year so far.

  But I was wrong!

  Hey, in winter Florida's always calling all of us, especially if we're trapped somewhere near the Great Lakes which ice coverage over 91% and the highest in 35 years, (you can watch them freeze here), where the frost line goes down 3 feet in our backyards and we still have 20 inches of rock hard ice piled up in our back yards.

  But now we are relieved to learn that Michelle & Barack! are not canceling their plans to head to Florida, even though Politico posted a shocked column entitled " Obama's vacation plans in jeopardy!" which ended with the mournful lament that, even if they get to go to Florida, he'll probably have to spend the weekend on the phone with Vladimir anyway, just like he did not when the invasion of Ukraine first happened. 

  Yeah, 5 people were in the White House trying to decide what to do while Obama was--again--nowhere to be found. 

  So anyway Keith Koffler at WHD has the scoop on Michelle's arms' trip to Florida:

There,they are set to relax at the ritzy Ocean Reef Club, which has two championship golf courses.

The Obamas have already vacationed this year in Hawaii, where they rang in the New Year. On Presidents Day Weekend, he traveled to California for a golf extravaganza while she skied Aspen.

This sends exactly the wrong signal to everyone involved in the current crisis and to the jackals around the world watching to gauge American resolve and seriousness.

  But over at Daily Mail, we are reminded of the previous vacations:

On the 2013 trip, some of the reported expenditures include the stationing of a Navy aircraft carrier off the coast of Africa equipped with a fully staffed medical trauma center, military cargo planes to fly a fleet of 56 support vehicles to transport the Obamas - complete with 14 limousines and three trucks carrying bulletproof glass to cover the windows of the hotels where the Obamas were to stay - and fighter jets that flew in shifts to provide coverage over the president's airspace for the entire trip. 

In June, the first lady went to Ireland for a two-day trip. The cost to taxpayers: $5 million.

Michelle Obama reportedly stayed at a $3,300-per-night hotel in Dublin, and needed to book 30 rooms at the posh Shelbourne Hotel for her staff and security detail.

  Hoosierman wrote about the excessive spending here. Indeed, American taxpayers paid $1.4 billion to support the Obamas in 2012, as opposed to the $56 million Brits paid to support the entire royal family.
  Now we learn about the China trip from the Daily Mail, which again, is being taken for the children:

In China, Mrs. Obama will focus on the power and importance of education, including in her own life, during visits to a high school and a university in Beijing, and a high school in Chengdu.

In an announcement Monday on the White House blog, the first lady says a China visit is important because it is the most populous country in the world, with more than 1.3 billion people, and is an important world actor.

Mrs. Obama will travel from March 19-26, spending several days in the capital of Beijing before stops in the central city of Xian and the southwestern city of Chengdu, the White House said. Her schedule includes a meeting with Peng Liyuan, the wife of Chinese President Xi Jinping.

  Does it seem to anyone else that the decisions the Obamas make are deliberately planned to inflame the informed voter? 
  And to milk their positions for everything they can possibly get?
  Everything's a political calculation and here's mine.
  The Obamas are greedy selfish people who think they are better than the people who pay the bills.
  Just sayin.'
