The CIA Has forced a constitutional crisis

It's seldom that I'm in the odd position of agreeing with Mother Jones but some acts are just so egregious they offend all Americans. Jones has nailed it. Its post is entitled The Senate-CIA Blowup Threatens a Constitutional Crisis. Never mind the fun of watching a Democratically controlled Senate clashing with a Democratic White House in an election year the nation is at risk. Let me back up a bit. The nation is not further endangered from abroad as the Feinstein would have us believe in the case of Edward Snowden but the nation as Feinstein knows it is at the verge of civil war. Tut tut, Rand Paul we have kept vigilant oversight over the NSA, no need to worry the masses about affronts to their liberty. Now the rest of the country can plainly see the nation of the Potomac is as grossly incompetent in keeping the intelligence community in check as it is running health care.
Under which CIA Director, Panetta, Petraeus, or Brennan, all of whom were confirmed by the Senate with ample praise form the Senate Intelligence Committee Chairlady, was the clandestine access to Senate computers begun? The Democratic leadership and Feinstein herself voted for all of them. The country has tolerated the intelligence community's excesses because people like Feinstein were supposed to know what the hell they were doing. Dianne Feinstien looks like a fool. She looks like a hypocrite and she has gone too far in the battle with the CIA to back off. For the sake of her credibility and her pride she must finish the fight. Edward Snowden obviously enjoying the scandal, said in that the situation was one "... where an elected official does not care at all that the rights of millions of ordinary citizens are violated by our spies, but suddenly it's a scandal when a politician finds out the same thing happens to them."
