Lois Lerner will testify Wednesday without immunity

Lois Lerner will testify on Wednesday without immunity. That news was announced by Chris Wallace in the beginning of his interview with Rep. Darrell Issa.

It gets curiouser and curiouser but before we jump down this rabbit hole let's ask a few questions. Either Lerner has a deal that we are not being told about or Rep. Issa is ready to punt. On the other hand Issa would have his punt blocked by Reps. Jordan and Gowdy if he even attempted one. It's a bit much to think they would suddenly lose interest in the case.
So Lerner has no deal and she will acknowledge she mislead Congress when she invoked her fifth amendment rights and take the fall for the entire targeting caper, lose her pension, and spend years in a federal pen on the advice of her lawyer? Does she imagine she might look fetching in an orange jumpsuit? One explanation may be that Issa and his committee have leverage to compel her to testify that they didn't have 9 months ago but what? What immunities can Issa offer that exceed the fifth amendment?
Lerner may be at the center but she could not have acted alone. The abuses inflicted on Catherine Engelbrecht of True the Vote involved the FBI, the IRS, the ATF,and OSHA. Very few have that power and all of them work in the White House. My guess is she has a deal.

Or maybe not.

I have to say I was skeptical which is part of the reason I created the video. Very uncharacteristically oversightandreform, the committee's Youtube channel had disabled embed on its video. CBS now reports that Lerner's attorney told Politico she would not give up her immunity while an Issa aide told them it was, "confirmed in writing that Ms. Lerner is willing to testify and she is now requesting a one-week delay for the public hearing. We have informed Mr. Taylor that Ms. Lerner may make her request for a delay on Wednesday when she appears for the hearing."
As I said, it gets curiouser and curiouser.
