Everyone acknowledges that the incumbency offers Obama a built advantage over any challenger. I doubt if everyone agrees that the taxpayers should be paying his campaign expenses while he tours the midwest on a presidential bus. Today the Dow Jones Industrial Average gave up 512 points and Obama celebrated his birthday by attending a fund raiser in Chicago. No one should ever blame one's stock market losses on any elected official. You pay your money and you take your chances. What galls many of us though is the perception that governing the country has seemingly become a mindless distraction from the serious business of getting reelected. Here Jay Carney explains Obama's misuse of the tax payers' with the quip, " He is the president of the United States"
It's the optics! Does he just not get it? How bad all this looks while our pension funds are sinking due to all his regulations, restrictions and destructive policies? I mean, seriously. You have Democrats all over the country saying the reason so many Middle Eastern countries don't like us was because of Bush's policies. Well, what about the Obama policies that are killing industry in this country? He can't even get the optics right, after 3 years??
