This latest poll from CNN/ORC conducted August 24 & 25 and released today confirms Perry is the front runner. Two polls, the first containing Palin and Giuliani, the second without them show little difference in the relative strengths of Perry, Romney and Bachmann. The bad news in this poll is for Barack Obama and Ron Paul. Twenty-seven percent of Democrats would prefer someone other than Obama as their party's nominee. For Ron Paul the grim news is no matter how you slice it he doesn't get above 6 percent which is about half as well as he did in the previous poll.
