PPP: Palin, Perry, Romney Tied In North Carolina

With the caveat that Public Policy Polling is a Democratic polling concern and sometimes uses polling to drive issues rather than measure voter sentiment said, Sarah Palin, Rick Perry and Mitt Romney are tied at 17 percent in North Carolina. Herman Cain gets 11 percent, Newt Gingrich 10 percent and Michele Bachmann 9 percent. If this poll is accurate what the hell happened to Michele Bachmann? One must assume this poll is taken seriously by the Bachmann camp. It appears Bachmann doesn't run well in Dixie.
PPP did a second poll in Colorado. In that poll Romney and Perry each got 20 percent to tie for first place while Bachmann ran third with 12 percent and Sarah Palin ran fourth with 11 percent.
In both states Bachmann runs better if you take Palin out of the picture. In North Carolina Bachmann and Perry tie at 17 percent with Romney at 16 percent and Paul and Gingrich at 11 percent. In Colorado she goes up to 15 percent with Romney at 22 percent and Perry at 21 percent leading the way. Clearly Bachmann is not that strong outside of Iowa.
