I suppose everyone knew the new freshmen class in Congress would not likely be composed of certified saints. Indeed, a little irreverence and maybe a misdemeanor from college days made some even more appealing. While a troubled past might be overlooked a troubling present cannot. It's sad too. Joe Walsh, photogenic and funny quickly became a YouTube sensation and at least one of his videos has been posted here, but Joe Walsh is $100,000 behind in his child support and that is a major ethical lapse that cannot be overlooked. Also Walsh has been driving on a suspended license. The Club for Growth has backed away from supporting Walsh noting that "character matters". Through reappointment Walsh will find himself facing another freshman, Congressman
Randy Hultgren. The Club for Growth will back Hultgren. Something happened in the last two days. On Wednesday The Hill reported that the Club would back Walsh only to report the opposite a few hours ago.
Just out of curiosity ...if it comes out later that Mr. Walsh is not behind on his child support and this is a lie by his ex...will the Club For Growth apologize for finding him guilty before his day in court?

ReplyDeleteflushed out after the primary and he was asked many times to do the right
thing and step down before the election but Joe had personal plans of his
own. He put his head out on the chopping block to gain popularity and donations and it is of no surprise the libs gladly chopped it off. He is my
rep and I approve of the way he has voted, I just wish he would walk the walk and not just talk the talk.
