Obama & Volt Own The Electric Auto Market

"Because of its shortcomings - driving range, cost and recharging time - the electric vehicle is not a viable replacement for most conventional cars; we need something entirely new." That dour assessment of electric automobiles comes from Toyota Vice Chairman Takeshi Uchiyamada known a "father of the Prius". With that Toyota announced it was exiting the electrical vehicle market. Nissan had already signaled its exit leaving only the taxpayer subsidized Chevy Volt to fulfill Obama promise to put 1 million electric vehicles on the road in the next few years. If January's sales, a paltry 1,140, are indicative of things to come Volt can soon claim its rightful place along side Solyndra and Benghazi in the annals of Obama excellence.

  1. This is the plug in only vehicle? What a nightmare to drive something like that, not to mention the strain on the electrical grid.

(I didn't tell you this) I'm driving a Prius and I really like it. It's very efficient and engineered well.
