Thank God for women like Jan Brewer. Two can play the executive order game and she is probably holding the trump card. As Obama's amnesty program went into effect Brewer issued an executive order of her own and showed other governors who have the courage to follow how to shoot down an unconstitutional policy. Brewer's executive order commands all state agencies to deny driver’s licenses and other public benefits to young illegal immigrants who obtain work authorizations under a new Obama administration program.
Brewer's order said the policy's federal paperwork doesn't confer lawful status on illegal immigrants and won't entitle them to Arizona public benefits. So sue her Eric Holder. Ask the court to bless Obama's unconstitutional over reach. Prosecutorial discretion cannot be stretched to establishing a policy and creating rules for compliance. Let's hope other Republican governors don't let Jan Brewer stand alone. More.
