Media Matters Declares Victory Over Fox News

Maybe in the Through the Looking Glass world of left wing Media Matters words don't matter. Maybe? Maybe this is just too subtle for us to grasp but they have declared victory in their war on Fox News.
"The war on Fox is over," said Media Matters Executive Vice President Angelo Carusone. "And it's not just that it's over, but it was very successful. To a large extent, we won."
Yeah, just like Ho Chi Minh at Dien Bien Phu ot Sitting Bull at the Little Big Horn.
"We've always said, 'Media Matters watches Fox, so you don't have to,'" said Bradley Beychok, the group's president. "That remains true. Fox News isn't going to stop lying, so we'll stay on that beat. But, our success regarding Fox News means that our talented team will carry out our mission in different ways consistent with a new strategic vision responsive to the transforming media environment."More

Media Matters declaration of victory comes as Fox News marked month 143 at the top of news channels. It is the second most watched outlet on all of cable behind only ESPN The two newest additions to Fox's line up have grown their respective audiences. Megyn Kelly has increased her viewers by 30% since her prime time debut and Howard Kurtz's Sunday morning Media Buzz is up 73% since its inception. All news channels have seen their numbers decline from their election year highs but Fox has fared better than its competition.
