Oh please let Todd work

One suspects that something other than modesty is to blame for Obama's Chief Technology Officer Todd Park's reluctance to testify before Congressman Darrell Issa's committee and explain the well known glitches in the healthcare.gov website that have made the Webmaster-in-Chief the laughing stock of both the political and tech worlds. Congressman Issa invited the industrious Mr. Park to give his committee a heads up on what the hell is wrong with the damn thing but Park declined the offer citing the onerous demands of his position. Congressman Issa then served Park with a subpoena. One would think this was a paternity suit. Everyone is willing to accept responsibility but not the blame.
Park is smart enough to know that this time Issa has made him an offer he can't refuse but that hasn't deterred his lackeys from fighting a rear guard action. The have set up a website, Lettoddwork.org, to collect petitions that will presumably persuade Rep. Issa to withdraw the subpoena. Good luck with that. As of 2:02 Central Standard time they have collected 614 signatures which is 100 time better than healthcare.gov did on its first day.

"Now, instead of continuing to fix Healthcare.gov (a mess he did not make), Mr. Park has to spend his hours preparing for his testimony," his underlings wrote.
Even the White House has weighed in, calling the subpoena "highly disruptive". Enough already! HHS has squandered between $200 and $600 million dollars, depending on whose numbers one uses and the idea that they would have to account for dime of it is disruptive? Who better to speak to the problem? Obama? He cleverly says he doesn't write code and evidently doesn't read law either. I wonder if the people who have had their policies cancelled and cannot find a new policy on the exchange because it doesn't work find that "highly disruptive". Maybe I'll build a website for them.
