Liberals scheme while you sleep
In case you missed the news lately, let's go over a few items of interest. As Hoosierman has said, sometimes you get afraid to go to sleep at night.
According to liberal standards, that is.
- Our president offended the Poles, a country of our staunchest allies, by referring to a Nazi death camp as a "Polish death camp." The Poles are highly offended, demanding more than just a minor oopsie, to which the White House said, "Meh." Unlike the bowing and scraping Obama has done for the Chinese, the Saudis, the Russians, Obama "shrug[ged] off" the offense. Apparently the Poles have nothing to offer our country but friendship and troops in the war.
- Actor Steve Guttenberg has come out of the closet in criticizing Obama, along with Jon Lovitz, who, unlike Cory Booker, meant what he said. Guttenberg, who voted for Obama, feels the current POTUS is demeaning the office by making so many tv appearances (The View) and blowing wads of cash by flying around the world for vacation while lecturing the rest of us to cut back.
- Our government is actually considering giving control of the internet to the United Nations, whose members include China, Cuba, Russia, Saudi Arabia, countries which have the best interests of this country at heart, no? Even if you can ignore the civil rights/censorship problems in these countries, certainly there would be a few national security implications with the UN having control over the internet, wouldn't there be? I mean, the UN has done such a great job sexually abusing the children they were supposed to protect so why wouldn't they be even better at abusing the internet?
- As we pointed out the other day, even in his Memorial Day speech, Obama managed to turn the conversation back to himself, declaring that no one had really acknowledged the suffering of Vietnam vets the way he himself Obama did that day. In an excellent Commentary article, it was speculated that the consequences of Obama's narcissism are influencing world events, including the disastrous so-called "Arab Spring."
- An increasingly paranoid Obama has declared that he knows more about Judaism than any other president. And it's all a Republican plot if you think otherwise. Um, yeeeeah.
- There's a report that 99 per center Obama flies his barber in to DC every 10 days or so for a haircut.
- Obama winked broadly when he gave the Medal of Freedom to a Socialist/communist the other day, confessing he had stolen her motto of "Yes we can" for his own campaign but not mentioning her affiliations of which few news media reported. Such a clever guy. He does so many things under the radar that the enthralled media is unwilling to notice, like this.
- While the billions of debt pile up, Chuck Schumer is holding hearings on the dangers of metal grill brushes dropping bristles and hurting people. Ditto the concern of Mayor Bloomberg, the petty tyrant, who is banning salt, transfats, smoking, unenlightened menus, and now big sugary drinks because 58% of NYC adults are obese.
According to liberal standards, that is.

The first nursing mother to take the bar exam.
TMI.
Elizabeth Warren.
Who cares.
How the hell does she know.
6 30 minute essays.
2 90 minute question periods in the afternoon.
Shouldn't be a problem.

The awesomeness that is Allen West
So Allen West is at this town hall meeting; he introduces, with that twisted grin of his, his "liberal groupies," which are (apparently) some unbelievably irritating women who follow him around and harass him.
One of the women gets so offended she can hardly contain herself; she starts bloviating about terrible it is that someone would say that to a woman, dammit. She tells him to eff off.
West grins again, says it again, and drifts off to the adoring fans who circulate around him.
Meanwhile the bloviator calls a WW2 veteran an "obnoxious old man," which is probably that way she sees all military veterans. She harasses the old gentlemen a bit, then pokes her finger in his chest and says again, "Eff off," whereupon an elderly woman shoves the bloviator, who immediately acts as if she's been assaulted, even though she's the guilty party.
Lookin' for a fight?
You betcha.
Don't mess with West.
OR his followers, even if they're deceptively old people with canes.

Yo Mr. President, About Those Polish Concentration Camps?
The latest demonstration of "smart diplomacy" practiced by our professorial President has inadvertently left a loyal ally seething. Yes, the redoubtable Commander-in Chief who speaks to Congress and the press alike, as if he were lecturing a group third graders on the birds and the bees, who revels in "teaching moments" to instruct the American peasantry on the dangers of its innate stupidity, who speaks condescendingly to Catholic cardinals and Wall Street bankers with an arrogance of breath taking dimensions has flat out stepped in it. Yes, the crown prince of intellectual insolence whose obvious ostentatious pronunciation of Taliban and Chile reminds one of a high school sophomore savoring his first French lesson, in an attempt to honor a late Polish national instead insulted the entire Polish nation with his clumsy reference to Polish concentration camps. Poland is sensitive on the subject of concentration camps that were established by Hitler's conquering Reich to exterminate Jews on Polish soil.
“We can’t accept such words in Poland, even if they are spoken by a leader of an allied country,” Prime Minister Donald Tusk told journalists in Warsaw today. “Saying Polish concentration camps is as if there was no German responsibility, no Hitler.”
If that quote doesn't make the point savor this one.
“The White House will apologize for this outrageous error,” Foreign Minister Radek Sikorski tweeted. Sikorski said that Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk “will make a statement in the morning. It’s a pity that this important ceremony was upstaged by ignorance and incompetence.”
Ignorance and incompetence! OMG! Who is ignorant and incompetent? Does Mr. Sikorski think Obama is ignorant and incompetent? What's next? Will Obama call Jan Schakowsky and ask her how many Poles it takes to change a light bulb?

Democrat Tea Party in Texas?
There seems to be no room in the Democrat party for anyone who isn't a left wing whacko with a socialist agenda. (Go HERE to see Obama wink as he gives a SOCIALIST labor leader the medal of FREEDOM.)
We've been interested in the number of Democrats who've been quietly moving away from the Democrat machine.
Now it looks like we have a little Democrat Tea Party situation in Texas. Roll Call writes that a Bill Clinton/Barack Obama favorite has gone down in Texas:
It would appear that Democrat voters weren't too happy with the trend of liberals in their party; thus, the boot.
Hoosierman has written about a Pennsylvania Democrat and her husband who've left the Democrat party.
Artur Davis has left the Democrat party.
We've noted that there seems to be some sort of trend going on here.
Like Hoosierman said, probably nothing for Obama to worry about.
Move along. UPDATE:

Now it looks like we have a little Democrat Tea Party situation in Texas. Roll Call writes that a Bill Clinton/Barack Obama favorite has gone down in Texas:
O’Rourke’s bid was boosted by a Texas-based super PAC, the Campaign for Primary Accountability, which invested heavily in two House contests in the Lone Star State. In the other race where the PAC spent money, the 4th district GOP primary, 16-term Rep. Ralph Hall won easily.
Reyes was not surprised. Acknowledging the tough primary, his campaign spent more than $460,000 and both sought and secured the endorsements of Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, who has had a decent record of backing winners in Democratic House primaries this cycle. Clinton campaigned for Reyes at a rally in El Paso last month.Reyes was one of the top ten most liberal members of the Texas delegation. This is a Democrat district which Reyes' opponent will easily win; this makes Reyes' defeat more astonishing and bitter.
It would appear that Democrat voters weren't too happy with the trend of liberals in their party; thus, the boot.

Prominent Pennsylvania Democrat Leaves Party Over Same Sex Marriage Endorsement
Some have speculated that Obama's endorsement of same sex marriage might cost him some votes among blue collar Democrats but when that blue collar Democrat is a Democratic state committeewoman, well, it might be more serious than we thought. Jo Ann Nardelli, a Pennsylvania state committeewoman and founding president of the Blair County Federation of Democratic Women, has switched her political affiliation to the GOP citing Obama's endorsement of same sex marriage as the final straw. Worse yet she called a press conference to announce her defection and to denounce her party.
“As the Democratic Party has taken the stand for same-sex marriage, then I must make a stand on my faith that marriage is between a man and a woman. God’s principles for life never change. His guidelines, given in Scripture, produce fruitful lives when you follow them.”
Nardelli's switch was supported by her husband, Mike, who said he, too, has turned in his Democrat registration card. It's probably nothing for team Obama to worry about.
Chris Hayes Slammed by NBC Pundits
Matt Lauer tried to defend Chris Hayes but even the liberal panelists at NBC; Star Jones, Donny Deutsch and Nancy Snyderman (rhymes with Spider man) would have none of it. "This guy, if you've seen him, looks like a weenie", crowed Donny Deutch. Nancy Snyderman made the compelling point that since the end of the draft only the willing put themselves in danger for the country and they are true heroes.
At least Hayes has apologized.
At least Hayes has apologized.

Democrat party has left Artur Davis
We've written about Artur Davis before. He has come "out of the closet" according to The Daily Caller.
Davis seems like a good guy. Let's hope more Democrat politicians wake up.
As the one and only Ronald Reagan said: "I didn't leave the Democrat party. It left me."
We used to admire Cory Booker, until he told the truth and then changed it.
The truth is the truth, Mayor Booker.
“If I were to run [for office], it would be as a Republican … [because] wearing a Democratic label no longer matches what I know about my country and its possibilities,” Davis announced Tuesday on his blog.
“I am in the process of changing my voter registration from Alabama to Virginia … [and] it is true that people whose judgment I value have asked me to weigh the prospect of running in one of the Northern Virginia congressional districts in 2014 or 2016, or alternatively, for a seat in the Virginia legislature in 2015,” Davis wrote. Will this be a trend, one wonders, as the Democrat Party has moved far past the American people, who are far more moderate and/or conservative than the current Democrat philosophy.

Faux Cherokee Elizabeth Warren Continues To Duck Questions
Elizabeth Warren continues to dodge questions surrounding her Indian heritage. Scott Brown is a welterweight as far as politician go but has had the good fortune to run against two of the weakest candidates the Democrats in Massachusetts could possibly field.
Obama, WHO KILLED BIN LADEN, BTW, is a patriot now
Obama, who killed bin Laden, BTW, gets up in front of a military memorial service yesterday--Memorial Day--instead of his usual golf game and he says this, his chin lifted, dramatic pauses inserted and eyes slit as he declares in his most holy of holies cadence:
But, heck, haven't we gone down this road before?
To me, this type of rhetoric the year of an election seems to me to be hectoring, digging, looking once again for anything this country has ever done wrong.
If another president had said this, even Bill Clinton, it wouldn't be as offensive as this president, who has made a habit of going around the world knocking America, saying it.
Are we now just a part of his worldwide apology tour then? What else don't you like about this country?
And, yes, it was the LEFT who treats vets like this, both after Vietnam and now, but the whole "national shame," "disgrace" meme is pretty old by now.
It seems that whenever Obama says something good or nice about this country, it has to do with himself and his destructive goals, not the true fabric of what makes us Americans.
He followed those remarks with these:
The Obamas do not like this country, or at least they have not until they got their hands on it.
Do they not know that WE REMEMBER THE FALLEN? That the impetus for much of Americans' attitudes toward the military now was the wound that was the treatment of Vietnam vets?
Many of us already decided a long time ago that no soldier would be treated that way, though the Left continues its assaults on those who defend their freedom to do so.
Has Obama not noticed the uprising around this country of patriots who have sent packages and written letters to service people stationed overseas?
Is he unaware of the many organizations that have been formed such the Wounded Warrior Project?
Does he not know that Americans stop soldiers in the airport to thank them?
Has he never heard how many times passengers on planes clap for soldiers returning, even giving up their first class seats?
The speech seemed disconnected from reality and an occasion to stir up political heat for himself.
So what was the point of this speech? Krauthammer says it was a shot at his base to create some kind of faux balance in his political tactics and an appeal to the Right. If so, it really didn't work.
We're sick and tired of seeing that guy up there ragging on this country, going over and over and over every bad thing that's ever happened here.
And then there's this.
Does he seriously think the "dark cloud of war" has broken and it's daylight, that the apocalyptic global Islamic caliphate being called for by maniacs has no threat to this country?
They no longer despise our way of life, our morals, our religion?
Hardly.
Disconnected from reality and political.
That's what that speech was.
"You were sometimes blamed for the misdeeds of a few," Obama said at the Vietnam War Memorial. "You came home and were sometimes denigrated when you should have been celebrated. It was a national shame, a disgrace that should have never happened."
"Even though some Americans turned their backs on you, you never turned your back on America," Obama said.So I don't like the guy or his policies; maybe for this reason I am not objective.
But, heck, haven't we gone down this road before?
To me, this type of rhetoric the year of an election seems to me to be hectoring, digging, looking once again for anything this country has ever done wrong.

FaceBook Investors: Zuck It Up
For younger readers How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying was a 1961 Broadway hit not a Mark Zuckerberg biography. Every once in awhile it's time for the media, politicians, and Wall Street to lock arms and goose step over the edge. We saw that happen with horrendous results in 2008 and it's probably a sound rule to run the other way when this begins to happen. The latest lapse into giddy, pie in the sky optimism, one hundred percent guaranteed win, was the FaceBook IPO. The media went wild with enthusiasm because they are enthusiastic about Mark Zuckerberg, the last good one per center. The wunderkind from Harvard who shares fashion tastes with the late Trayvon Martin, and sometimes the stage with Barack Obama was about to let the great unwashed masses in on his tremendous success.
Politicians tried with some success to bask in Zuckerberg's glow and as we saw it was a win-win proposition for them. Had the IPO been a mad success they could stood in the afterglow and prattled inanities about capitalism, free enterprise and how with fortitude one can succeed in business in spite of the impediments they have placed the path. As it turned out the IPO was a bust and they began a witch hunt to track down the miscreants who had engineered this inglorious denouement. Notice that the underwriter, Morgan Stanley, not FaceBook, got the blame for the failure. The investors who bought the IPO have assumed a victim status similar to those who ran up too much student or credit card debt, or bought their dream home with no money down and an adjustable rate mortgage.
Wall Street hyped the IPO because that's what Wall Street does. Brokerage houses make just as much money on losing trades as they do on out-of-the park grand slams but there is the other side of the street to consider. The segment of Wall Street that invests its customers money such a mutual funds and their own money such as hedge funds looked askance at the CEO in a hoodie who kept a controlling interest in FaceBook and announced for the whole world to hear if not heed that his social concerns would take precedent over profit. To hell you say? They had no intention of buying into some latter day hippie's social media that may be run like a half-assed not for profit endeavor. In the end the FaceBook IPO failed because investors don't trust Zuckerberg.
Compare Zuckerberg to Bill Gates or Steve Jobs and you will see my point. It's like comparing the Beatles to the one-hit-wonder, the Kingsmen. Both Gates and Jobs could write code but both were uncommonly great businessmen. They learned their businesses inside and out. They understood production schedules, public relations, inventory control, personnel, and they probably checked the market value of their companies six times a day. Gates was still writing code when Windows 95 hit the market. Did I set the bar too high for Zuckerberg? Okay compare him to AOL founder Steve Case. The company Case went to work for sold computer games that could be downloaded over a phone modem. It went out of business shortly after he went to work for them. The dial-up market was dominated by Compuserve and Prodigy. Prodigy was a joint venture between IBM and Sears. No one told Steve Case he couldn't compete with IBM and Sears and he beat their asses flat.
FaceBook has no assurances that AOL didn't have. When Zuckerberg has been fired and rehired by the company he founded as was Jobs or survived an anti-trust suit as did Gates then maybe he will have earned my trust but until he learns to separate business from politics and show business I'll put my money in oil stocks.

Waterless Fracking Comes to Ohio
Ohio's Utica Shale will soon see the first waterless fracking. An unnamed company has asked GasFrac Energy Services of Calgary to frack two wells using LPG, short for liquid petroleum gas instead of water. GasFrac seems to be the only provider of this type of fracking and has fracked some 1200 wells chiefly in Canada, Texas and Colorado. Typically, 5 to 6 million gallons of water are used to frack a well. After completion of the fracturing, the driller must pump the water to the surface and then dispose of the toxic waste, usually by injecting back into the ground in another well drilled for disposal.
When LPG, cooled to an almost gel consistency is used, it combines with the oil and gas in the well and is simply processed with them. Gas fracking eliminates the chief environmental concern, contaminated water, but GasFrac maintains it is cost effective as the cost of disposing of the waste water is eliminated. Last year, the petroleum giant Chevron used LPG to frack several natural gas wells in the Piceance Basin, home to several lucrative coal, oil and natural gas deposits in Colorado. The company’s annual report, while not mentioning GasFrac, noted that LPG “significantly increases production while minimizing water usage.”
GasFrac hopes to begin fracking within a month.

VFW Furious at MSNBC and Chris Hayes
The country's largest veterans organization, the VFW, has demanded an apology from MSNBC for remarks made by the effeminate and effete anchor Chris Hayes. Hayes, it seems, has thing about referring to those who have given that " last full measure of devotion " as heroes. Making heroes of fallen soldiers glorifies war, Hayes argues.
"Chris Hayes' recent remarks on MSNBC regarding our fallen service members are reprehensible and disgusting," VFW National Commander Richard DeNoyer said in a statement to FoxNews.com. "His words reflect his obvious disregard for the service and sacrifice of the men and women who have paid the ultimate price while defending our nation. His insipid statement is particularly callous because it comes at a time when our entire nation pauses to reflect and honor the memory of our nations' fallen heroes."To carry Hayes' argument to its logical conclusion, if the nation does not treat fallen warriors as heroes then there is no need for Memorial Day, nor national cemeteries, nor white crosses, nor red poppies, nor tombs of the unknown soldiers. Sadly, there are many who owe their freedom, health, and wealth to those who gave so unselfishly all that they could give, who agree with Hayes. Maybe the latest Gallup Poll showing Romney leading Obama by 28 points among male veterans reflects their discomfort and distrust of the left.
He continued: "It is especially devastating to the many broken-hearted children, spouses and parents, left behind to grieve for a loved one. Such an ignorant and uncaring and blatant disregard for people's deep feelings are indefensible, and that is why the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States demand that Mr. Hayes and MSNBC provides an immediate and unequivocal apology."
Who Needs a Wasserman?
Temple Israel in Miami has withdrawn its invitation to Debbie Wasserman-Schultz after a prominent member of the congregation threatened to leave.
Philanthropist Stanley Tate stated that he would quit the congregation if the Marxist air head was allowed to speak.
Temple President Ben Kuehne was so worried about a negative reaction to Tate’s withdrawal, that he cited safety concerns as the reason behind the cancellation of Wasserman-Shultz’s speech. More .

Obama's Choom Gang problem
Let's clarify a few things.
So Romney is a rich guy.
Obama, the millionaire, is not. Obama and his wife fly around the globe on the taxpayer dime but he's not an abuser of dollars.
And Romney is said to have been "abusive" to a kid in high school. Obama admitted he was, too, but he's not "abusive."
Obama has a little choom problem, which Romney apparently doesn't have but who knows what the next few months will bring as the Obamabots will create some non-equivalency to balance out Obama's problematic drug use past.
Obama's group was known as the Choom Gang, now being depicted by the LSM as "nothing new" and the equivalent of Romney's car elevator, right along side Joe Biden's "incredibly moving speech."
Nice juxtaposition, that.
How important was the Choom Gang to Obama's years?
In his final high school yearbook statement of thanks to the people who had influenced him most, he mentions his grandparents and his Choom buddies including his gay drug dealer who was later murdered by a lover.
Obama invented several ways for his buddies to get the most out of pot smoking, like shutting themselves in a car with the windows rolled up.
Pot smoking was more like a vocation for Obama during high school and later in college, as he has admitted in his two biographies. Not an avocation.
But this, unlike Romney's dog, is old news and thus both untouchable and irrelevant to Obama's fitness to serve as POTUS.
If Romney had such a past.....

Obamabots makin' stuff up again
If you've been out of the political loop for the last week, you might be shocked to learn that Obama's latest campaign ploy is that he isn't a big spender, even though he's haggling for more money to blow on his cronies and even though the billions and billions of dollars he's already blown on his bundlers' ideas to fund ill fated companies.
But first, of course, those bundlers will make sure to contribute to the Obama campaign.
This is as if we haven't seen the foolish stimulus projects on our own roads. As if we haven't seen the bridge being raised by two inches over at the Salisbury Road exit.
It's as if we haven't seen residents of Detroit queued up to get their "Obama money."
It's as if we haven't heard of the foolish stimulus projects.
Like purifying water for $36,000 a resident.
Or pouring money into a few select residents' homes to weatherize them, then failing the inspections.
It's as if we haven't seen company after company bailed out, with no accountability.
And on and on and on it goes.
Now the Obama people are calling Romney's criticism of spending "cow pies" and "BS," two words intentionally framing Romney's remarks as excrement without actually saying the S word.
This WSJ article nails it:
It's as if these things never happened; Michelle Obama did say they were about to change our history and that appears to be happening day after day.
Undoubtedly when Obama et al blew all that cash in 2009 they figured we'd all forget about it by the next election.
The dare we suggest planted article by the unfortunately named Nutting is the beginning of the road back for Obama.
They're already touting around the country how great the economy is and how the unemployment rate has come down, not mentioning that it's because 1) people have dropped out of trying to get jobs 2) the numbers are illusive, as every week Obama et al go back in and revise those numbers UP.
From Forbes:
Don't they know that's why the Tea Party started, y'all.
Mr. Nutting claims that Mr. Obama is only responsible for $140 billion worth of spending in his hyperactivist first year in office because . . . the fiscal year technically begins on October 1, 2009. Therefore he says Mr. Obama had no control over the budget, though in February 2009 he did famously manage to pass an $800 billion stimulus that was supposed to be a one-time deal. Mr. Nutting then measures Mr. Obama's spending growth rate against an inflated 2009 baseline that includes the spending Mr. Obama caused but which he attributes to Mr. Bush.
This is like an alcoholic claiming that his rate of drinking has slowed because he had only 22 beers today and 25 beers yesterday. To extend the analogy, let's stipulate that Mr. Bush was no fiscal teetotaler, though that's even more an indictment of Mr. Obama. The Obamas do not care about these matters, it appears, as they party and fly around the planet on whims that most of us wouldn't consider in a car, much less Air Force One at $175,000 an hour.
From December 2008 to the end of last year, total US debt increased from $10.7 trillion to $15.2 trillion, an increase of $4.5 trillion. However, only $2.9 trillion of this amount was borrowed from investors; the $2.9 trillion came from US investors, insurance companies and more than half from foreign countries and international investors. The remaining $1.6 trillion came mostly from the Federal Reserve.
The Federal Reserve acquired most of this US debt by simply creating dollars. This infusion of cash is suppose to be temporary because the Federal Reserve expects to be paid back from US revenue (not very likely), or a sale/ refinance of such US obligations to investors (relatively more likely). Absent substantial growth in our economy it is likely the Federal Reserve will hold this debt (and perhaps additional debt from another infusion through Quantitative Easing) for an indefinite period of time.Apparently the Obamabots think we're stupid. Or blind. Or something. Certainly that's why they're trying to float these inane theories.
Don't they know that's why the Tea Party started, y'all.

Memorial Day Weekend
All to often, as we are caught up in events of our daily lives, the situations our country finds itself in, and a myriad of other important and not-so-important things, it is too easy to forget the men and women who have paid the ultimate price for our freedom.
We have all lost friends or relatives fighting wars. This weekend try to take some time out to honor these fallen heros. Maybe go to a local parade to show your respect and support your community.
Fly your flag. Don't have a flag? It is high time you get one!
The beauty of the Occupy movement revealed in 2 minutes
In case you haven't heard much about the "peaceful" Occupy movement lately and maybe you were busy last weekend and didn't hear about the terrorist tactics Occupiers/anarchists used in Chicago last weekend (including assault on the police and diners at a restaurant), we offer this video so you can absorb the beauty that is President Obama's Occupy movement.

Hey, dopes! You've been in charge of spending, not Republicans!
The conservative wags have been rattling on for two days about Obama's boast that he's cut spending and is not guilty of the horrendous overspending of which he has been accused.
Obama was doing the cock crow yesterday again bragging that he's tired of having to clean up the messes Republicans make. Here's his statement:
Does President Obama remember that the Democrat party, NOT REPUBLICANS, were in charge of the House and Senate since 2007?
Does President Obama remember that the Democrats had COMPLETE CONTROL of both the executive and legislative branches, an unbreakable majority?
Does President Obama remember that HE HIMSELF was in the Senate when those expenditures were approved?
Does President Obama remember that Democrats have had NO BUDGET for THREE years?
UPDATE: Graphic from Hot Air:
Obama was doing the cock crow yesterday again bragging that he's tired of having to clean up the messes Republicans make. Here's his statement:
“[Republicans] run up these wild debts and then when we take over, we’ve got to clean it up.”The writer who generated this amazing cock crow was named, oddly, Nutting. Here is what he said. Gee, is he biased for Obama? It's hard to tell from his opening paragraph:
WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) — Of all the falsehoods told about President Barack Obama, the biggest whopper is the one about his reckless spending spree. The facts are here. And here:
But there were a few problems with Nutting’s numbers. Nutting’s methodology assumes spending in the first year of a presidential term should be credited to the previous president. OK, fine. But he attributed a $410 billion spending bill in March of 2009 to George W. Bush even though it was signed by Barack Obama. Nutting also didn’t use inflation adjusted numbers.
But I did both of those and got wildly different results from Nutting, as seen in the chart at the top of this post. (Note: I looked at absolute spending as opposed to the rate of increase.)
My numbers show that spending under the ’10-’13 Obama budgets far outstrips spending by a generation of presidential predecessors. This should not be surprising since spending as a share of GDP under Obama is the highest in U.S. history outside of World War II.Screaming at the television is my response.

Obama and the coming race war
There's something you should know.
The working theory about Obama is that he's planning to do whatever it takes to win this fall. That includes encouraging race riots, if necessary.
Who's speculating this?
Well, Ulsterman has been on top of this since the beginning. Now, in general, Ulsterman's reports could read like conspiracy theories. Unfortunately much of what his White House Insider reports has turned out to be true.
Now we have a report of a DHS informer who is also claiming those same tactics are on the agenda for this administration in an attempt to win or virtually cancel this election. The FEMA camps are already being readied for resisters, according to this report.
Reaganite Republican has a thoughtful blog post about this. Here are a few salient points:
RR has a list of links to follow to verify this information.
Even Michelle Malkin this morning touched on this issue. FNC has been wondering why POTUS will not disavow the Occupy movement (which, you'll remember, has had the SEIU purchase fancy office space for them a few blocks from the White House until the election).
MM said of course it was part of the plan, given that Obama's background is in "community organizing" which basically consists of stirring people up, demonstrating, invading targeted persons' space, and blackmailing organizations into giving them money for nothing. It's in his lifeblood, just as the Occupy movement is part of the Columbia/Cloward Piven strategy of toppling governments.
Indeed Jay Carney's much ridiculed performance yesterday in front of the press corps (corpse) is revealing. The administration is trying to deflect attention away from what they are doing, accuse others of their own deeds and stir up as much animus between Americans as they possibly can.
There is an unfortunate minority that will buy whatever this POTUS says; witness the ignorant "Social Studies" teacher who was willing to bully a student over his disagreement about Obama's efficacy as a leader.
I personally know several prominent professional persons who believe Obama's goal is to prevent Americans from voting if he thinks he's going to lose. Surely the anarchy we've seen in the streets and Obama's unwillingness to denounce it or even address the violence other than to say he supports their grievances is a harbinger of what could happen.
But all is not well with this group. Regardless the polls indicating so many people like Obama and the job he is doing, there's trouble ahead, both for Liberals and the country if they lose.
If Democrats and their cronies in the press are willing to name call their own Democrat voters who voted against Obama in Kentucky and Arkansas as racists because they disagree with Obama, one can only wonder what else they'll be willing to do to win.

Worryingly, a US Dept of Homeland Security 'insider' recently told a Canadian paper that the Obama Administration is scheming (along with that heavily-politicized agency) to spark a Helter-Skelter-type race war in this country... only difference being it'll be the Bolshevik Boy Wonder -rather than Charlie- we'll be turning-to to lead us all 'Forward' through the ensuing apocalypse. Attempts at gun confiscation, curfews, and DHS checkpoints (they recently obtained the bulletproof booths) are what you can look forward to in this action-packed sequel to hopenchange.RR says the troops are all charged up with the Trayvon Martin case, which has definitely increased deliberately racist Black on White attacks around the country. Baltimore and St. Louis have serious problems, but Black unrest happening all over the country, particularly with packs of young Black males assaulting defenseless individuals.

Angry Black woman making the tv rounds
If you'll recall, Queen Michelle was really honked off when she was confronted with the fact that she is viewed as an "angry Black woman," primarily because she is an angry Black woman.
Then she went on this frantic tour around the country on tv shows. You know, like kid shows and conversation shows and whatever. You couldn't turn on the tv without seeing her forcefully happy face, overbite and beefy behind.
It looks like we're getting closer to the election and Beefy Behind wants to make sure we know she's a Wonderful First Lady so here we go again. Every time you turn the telly on, one of them will be on. Sports. Children's shows. Reality shows. Weight loss shows. Stewart. Letterman.
Here's the itinerary; this time we're being lectured about gardens instead of how Beefy our Behinds are. Politico:

Obama is set to appear Tuesday on ABC's "Good Morning America" and "The View," and Comedy Central's "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart," the White House said Wednesday. She'll also tape an interview for "LIVE! with Kelly" while in New York next Wednesday and an appearance on the "Rachael Ray Show" is set to air next Thursday.Reminder to self: do not turn television on Tuesday.
Ann vs. Michelle: who's the prima donna here?
Apparently perceiving that Ann Romney is the Ace in Romney's campaign, the LA Times is after her again. She suffers from debilitating illnesses such as cancer and multiple sclerosis so, by all rights, she should be afforded the same luxuries as the partisan Michelle Obama, but not so.
Big Journalism dissects the LA Times hit piece here; the obvious implication is that Ann Romney's a rich woman who simply cannot relate to the average American.
After all, she has had a personal trainer at her disposal for years.
She's had a personal chef for years.
She's traveled around the world: Africa, Europe, the Olympics, often accompanied by hundreds and hundreds of people in her entourage.
She's sent her 12 year old daughter and 12 of her daughter's friends to Mexico, accompanied by Secret Service.
She's known for her $500 sneakers and $3000 (and more) dresses and is rumored to have spend $50,000 on ladies unmentionables on a quick trip to New York.
She prefers to vacation in the Hamptons, Martha's Vineyard and exclusive skiing resorts. It's not a problem for her to fly to Hawaii a few hours ahead of her husband at the cost of some $150,000 per hour.
But wait, you say.
This doesn't sound like Ann Rom....
Oh, yeah.
It's not.
It's Michelle O, queen of the colonies.
You haven't seen any exposes on this woman?
Of course not.
She's one of the 99 percent, not like Ann Romney, who's one of the 1 percent.

Northwest Ohio energy rates to skyrocket
Flyover country depends on coal (clean coal) to provide energy; Obama has declared war on energy generated by coal, something we discussed on numerous occasions.
Obama himself said prices on energy will "necessarily skyrocket under my plan."
From August 2011:
Indeed, prices for energy are going to skyrocket by 2015. Fox News:
Though he blames Bush and Republicans for all his financial woes, his party was in charge of Congress from 2007, and complete control of Congress from 2008- 2010. We have seen what that yields: nightmarish control of every aspect of our lives, including health energy, business, banks and loans, and everything you can imagine concerning food and "fitness."
We have had no budget for 3 years: naturally, there's been no budget because these politicians do not want to face that their spending, both Democrat and Republican, has been out of control.
Obama himself said prices on energy will "necessarily skyrocket under my plan."
From August 2011:
Frank Beckmann had an interview on WJR this morning regarding energy costs in the state of Michigan, which are due to increase by 25% because of the new EPA regulations which will require closure of 7 small plants that generate energy for the state. This will probably cause Ohio to close 25% of its energy sources and lead to rolling blackouts, as the state searches for energy sources.Ohio may lose 17 plants. New EPA regulations have made it impossible for many plants to remain open.
Indeed, prices for energy are going to skyrocket by 2015. Fox News:
The market-clearing price for new 2015 capacity – almost all natural gas – was $136 per megawatt. That’s eight times higher than the price for 2012, which was just $16 per megawatt. In the mid-Atlantic area covering New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and DC the new price is $167 per megawatt. For the northern Ohio territory served by FirstEnergy, the price is a shocking $357 per megawatt. There will be many repercussions, more jobs lost, higher taxes and God only knows what else if Barack Hussein Obama is reelected. His lust for power and control is unbridled.

Obama asks Will Smith to play him in a movie about....Obama...
Over at the NY Post, we learn that Will Smith agreed to play Obama in the movie version of his life.
And how do we know this?
They discussed it.
Smith told Obama, when (presumably) Obama asked if he'd play him in the movie.
And how do we know this?
They discussed it.
Smith told Obama, when (presumably) Obama asked if he'd play him in the movie.
"I told [Obama] jokingly, 'It's definitely something I would consider, you just have to write the ending.' So he's working on the ending right now," the Oscar-nominee added.Oh, and Obama's working on the ending of the movie about....himself.
How many other Dems are off the reservation?
It's a shame about Cory Booker; I was really starting to admire the guy. I mean, he ran into a burning building and saved someone. And he was actually out there shoveling something other than horse dung longer than just the usual Sean Penn photo op.
He was actually honest about private equity, disgusted with the ripping on Romney's work with Bain Capital, for which Romney wasn't even working during the period of time Obama's commercial refers to.
Then Booker backtracked today, after being bi**h slapped by Obama's people. I imagine Valerie Jarrett was screaming on the phone within minutes of hearing that.
But Harold Ford today supported Booker.
Then we had Campbell Brown's article about Obama's condescending to women. (I mean, seriously. Women aren't better at everything just because they're women. How nauseating.)
So you've got the Pat Caddell/Doug Schoen types who are highly critical of Obama.
Democrat Jamie Dimon. Blogger Ann Althouse. NY Post writer Michael Goodwin. Obama auto czar Steve Rattner.
Rev. Doug McCissic. Senator Joe Manchin. Lee Stranahan.
Even Hollywood has some objectors like Jon Lovitz, who's made no secret of his disgust for Obama's policies.
Romney's donations are up. Obama's are down, although the arm twisting of the unions has begun, as has Obama's threats of personal ruin to those who support Romney.
Just how many former Obama supporters are out there, I wonder?
This is not something that would show up on national polls of 700 people.

Obama's phony press conferences
Why don't we just drop the pretense that Obama actually holds news conferences?
He's handed a list of reporters to call on, most of whom seem to have been prompted to ask certain questions that Obama's team planted.
What is it with this guy?
He runs a "press conference" during international events and answers prompted questions about his personal political situation in an attempt to shame his opponent, just in case Governor Romney becomes President Romney.
And sorry, no, we don't buy that Obama knows what he's actually doing concerning private businesses and Romney doesn't.
Standing at his podium with his teleprompters chiding Romney that he doesn't know what "this job" of the presidency is about is a terrible example of who Obama is. Obama had no experience in business and very little political experience other than voting "no opinion" on most important issues.
Except, of course, for the full term abortion bill, which Obama supported every chance he got.
Uh. Uh. Uhhhhhh. It was the uhhhhh "press conference."
Fail.

Ill informed Doofus Penn ignores Christian work in Haiti
Foul mouthed, contemptuous, condescending, sneering, Communist and dictator lover one per center Sean Penn went off the other day at the exclusive, wealthy, condescending one per centers', couture wearing attendants at Cannes Film Festival about the media and celebrity desertion of Haiti's poor since the earthquake.
Of course, Haiti has been poor far longer than the earthquake.
Wearing his best "blue steel" look, airhead Sean Penn went on a f-word streak excoriating the lack of help to Haiti, claiming Haiti has been "abandoned by the whole f---ing world."
Penn, who likes to pop up magnanimously in danger zones to have his picture taken doing some menial task to relieve the suffering, is unhappy with the Hollywood celebs who've moved on to some country in Africa or Uzbekhistan.
Now seems like a good time to revisit Penn's aid to Katrina victims. His boat sank, so that wasn't much help to Katrina victims. But he made sure to get a picture of himself reaching, reaching to help the poor in the water in New Orleans. Well, not so much.
From the California Conservative:
See?
See how he helps, reaching out to those in need? Note the artfully tousled hair. See? He doesn't worry about his appearance when he's doing work for the poor.
What you didn't see was this:
Lots and lots of personal photographers to capture the hero as he, um, bails water out of his sinking boat.
And then there was Iran.
And then there's Chavez. Etc. Sean Penn. World expert.
The truth is that Christian organizations have been working in numerous countries around the world for decades, a fact that eludes people like Penn because they do not "see" Christians as legitimate, either as religious people or as the purveyors of good deeds.
Samaritan's Purse is an excellent example. where works have been ongoing. These pictures were taken in January of this year:
In fact, Samaritan's Purse works in so many countries that they are too numerous to be listed here.
And then there's Christian Haitian Outreach.
And World Vision.
Living Hope Haiti.
In fact, there are so many Christian organizations that Christianity is spreading in the country, much to Penn's alarm, no doubt.
So get your facts straight, Doofus.
Just because you Hollywood liberal one per centers have forgotten Haiti doesn't mean the Christians have.

Well, okay, that's a slight Photoshop. In reality Penn had his own photographer and entourage in the boat with him, though:
The actor, known for his political activism, was seen wearing what appeared to be a white flak jacket and frantically bailing water out of the sinking vessel with a red plastic cup…
…With the boat loaded with members of Penn’s entourage, including a personal photographer, one bystander taunted the actor: “How are you going to get any people in that thing?”This incident may have been one of the earliest conservative hoot-fests on record, as many chimed in to mock the hero, er, actor playing a hero.

What's up with Joe Biden?
I have always contended that the reason Joe Biden was chosen as VP for Obama is that he is absolutely no competition for the most narcissistic president in the history of the United States.
Next to Biden, anybody'd look like a "Prince."
There are other reasons, I speculate, for the choice of Biden.
He's old and unlikely to succeed the current POTUS, if he should (shudder) gain another term.
He's a sycophant who isn't ashamed to suck up in the most abhorrent ways, even though he often goes too far. Uh. Who can forget the "Barack has a big stick" comment.
But now Biden's condition of being gaffetastic has advanced to a degree that has many in the conservative media clucking about what the heck is up, if not wrong, with Joe Biden.
White House Dossier runs down the list of recent blabbermouth mistakes. We include below the video that presumably inspired the speculation that things have gone a bit too far with Old Joe lately:
It would certainly give Obama an electoral advantage and Clinton the lead in the next election. One wonders if Obama's ego would let him go that route.

I’m not particularly trying to be funny here. Vice President Biden, known as a gaffe machine, has converted himself into a gaffe production line.
Biden’s inability to keep his neurological circuitry running smoothly has escalated as of late, and if the wheels don’t start turning in a more assured manner, people are going to begin to question his fitness for office. This is why speculation has increased that Hillary Clinton will be tapped to replace Old Joe, though one suspects that competitiveness between Obama and Clinton is more than just during primary season.
It would certainly give Obama an electoral advantage and Clinton the lead in the next election. One wonders if Obama's ego would let him go that route.
Guppy: the Lady GaGa of reporters
So as a reader and news consumer, I rage every now and then about the MSM's obvious bias toward Democrats and particularly Obama.
If the politician's behavior is abhorrent or illegal (or both, which is not unusual), the "D" is never mentioned, or mentioned about 18 paragraphs into the article.
The Republican, of course, has his party in the headline, whether the charges against him/her are true or just allegations.
Here's today's example.
Doyle McManus has Obama's back on Obamacare, which, it is widely speculated, may go down in flames through a Supreme Court ruling.
Here's the sub heading of his McManus's op-ed "A Campaign Bombshell" in the LA Times:
McManus goes on to detail the Democrat talking points that no matter how that decision goes, Obama wins. Ta dah!
So let's discard any pretense of objectivity, shall we?
Here's another example of someone in the press, admittedly an "art" reporter, who really has no shame.
The idea, I guess, is that the reporter becomes the news, the unfortunately named Nancy Guppy.

If the court upholds the healthcare reform law, the president wins; if it declares the law unconstitutional, he loses. Right? Well, not so fast.See, it's always, all the time, about Obama, not Americans.

Obviously Mrs. Guppy does not intended to be taken seriously but it certainly does remind one of Lady GaGa's appearance at the Grammys, no?

Who is Barack Obama?
Wow. Great article over at PJ Media:
Say all you want about "birtherism."
The above listed are facts.
There are a lot of questions to be asked about Barack Obama. Why are his college records sealed? Why can’t we see a certified copy of his birth certificate? Why are his medical records sealed? I’ve been told that his Social Security registration was issued by Connecticut, which would be odd, but cannot check because that too is sealed. Obama worked as a lawyer, but we don’t know who he worked for because his client list is sealed. Why is it that Michelle Obama can no longer practice as an attorney? We know the fact but not the reason.Accompanied by this disturbing graphic:

Beware the Sleeping Giant...
The Anointed One and his administration have awoken a sleeping giant...
Catholics are on the move in a big way.
They are taking it to the streets, starting two weeks before July 4th - every day.
This is going to make OWS look like a kindergarden squabble.
Orthodox Jews, Mormons, Fundamentalist Protestants, even Atheists are coming out in support -- these will potentially be the largest protests this country has ever witnessed.
They are doing it in the name of (religious) liberty.
The video can be found here...
