House Panel Votes to Subpoena White House Solyndra Documents

The subcommittee of the House's Energy and Commerce Committee investigating Solyndra voted 14-9 along party lines to subpoena White House documents relevant to the scandal. Even though the White House has refused to produce the requested documents it expressed dismay at the vote. Politico;

We are disappointed that the committee has refused to discuss their requests with us in good faith and has instead chosen a partisan route, proceeding with subpoenas that are unprecedented and unwarranted,” White House spokesman Eric Schultz said in an emailed statement. He added: “We'd like to see as much passion in House Republicans for creating jobs as we see in this investigation.”

Rep. Paul Broun of the House Science, Space and Technology Committee has given the White House until October 7 to supply the documents his committee has requested in the LightSquared investigation. Throw in the Fast and Furious and the Obama administration is about to hit a media trifecta.
