In a press conference Oakland Mayor Jean Quan made a passing reference to a teleconference she had participated in with 18 mayors across the country dealing with the Occupy Wall Street movement. So your honor, it wasn't just coincidence that city leaders across the country found the fortitude simultaneously to send the squatters packing? If that coordinated action was not was not coincidence what about the departure of the President just prior to the coordinated crackdown. In other words did the Democratic mayors wait until the President was in Hawaii, which he thinks is Asia, so as to provide some geographical deniability for the President should anything go terribly wrong? If that question seem overly cynical would a series of emails from the Department of Energy to Solyndra imploring them to postpone layoffs until after the midterm election dispel the cynicism? With the Obama administration there are no coincidences. Just as the Super Committee is about to admit abject and unmitigated failure the President has more urgent business to attend to in Australia and Indonesia.
The media has begun to tackle the consequences of the failure of the Super Committee in their usual off hand fashion hinting to the public that a second downgrade on the US debt is possible. So where is the President? He's voting absent.
