Sandusky Was Released Without Posting Bail

Prosecutors asked for $500,000 bail for Jerry Sandusky and that he be compelled to wear an leg monitor. Lucky for Sandusky the judge was a volunteer at The Second Mile Foundation and she ordered that Sandusky be freed and pay nothing unless he fails to appear. District Judge Leslie Dutchcot ordered unsecured bail of $100,000. It's funny how good things just keep happening to Sandusky. There is nothing unusual about attorneys serving on charitable foundations either in a personal or professional capacity but Dutchcot, one would think, should have recused herself. For all those who thought the university was a corrupt enabler this should send the signal that at least part of the legal system is willing to do its part for pedophilia. When a man is facing life imprisonment and is, in effect released without bail, it might occur to the voters that not enough people have been fired.

  1. The first thing that crossed my mind when the Penn State scandal broke, was this esteemed institution's exoneration of Michael Mann.

Michael Mann might not be as nauseating as The Sand Man but there are parallels. Yes, there are.
