TSA not responsible anymore for monitoring criminal activity online?

Aren't some of these banned functions, such as internet chatting, supposed to save time and be part of the workplace? Is this yet another incredibly inane command from on high?
While it's understandable that workplaces have the right to block whatever websites they want for their workers, how does it make sense to block websites that promote violence? Isn't that part of the Transportation SAFETY Administration's responsibility, to monitor activity that could endanger transportation? How does this make sense? The unnerved reaction everyone is having is that this is just the beginning as the government tries to clamp down on opinions contrary to administrative policy. My question is a more practical one: Isn't the TSA supposed to be watching?
