This is a message many democrats do not seem to get. Dems who have had to face angry citizens at townhalls (have we in our lifetimes ever seen anything like it?) seem perplexed, confused and angered that anyone would challenge their judgment, particularly with regard to health care. They are making a mess of this country and do not want to take responsibility for it.
Now as they prepare to pass numerous taxes, laws, financial regulations, even in the lame duck period after they are voted out this fall, they seem to be overlooking something. We have warned about this before.
Do they not remember what happened to Ben Nelson when he went home after voting against the will of the people? He tried to go to a restaurant and was publicly shunned and excoriated by the diners. He had to leave.
Are unseated democrats prepared to face an angry public for the rest of their lives, not just their political lives? Do they understand that polite company may not be polite anymore?
Here's an example of the way one democrat reacted when someone confronted him at a restaurant. He screams and throws papers down in anger at the citizen who would dare confront him about his vote for the disastrous health care bill.
On a humane and moral level, it is very difficult to understand how people who are elected to office can be so negligent, unpatriotic and selfishly political to vote for power rather than the good of the people. To spend without regard for consequences to this country is abominable.
There is no way this can be excused as just partisan politics. This is deliberate undermining of the principles of the Constitution of these United States.
