What's Hillary Thinking

During the Clinton administration, a great deal of conservative anger was expressed (this sentence was purposefully impersonal and passive). Hillary was particularly despised as someone who would circumvent the law to get what she wanted. Rumors of illegalities, crooked CIA agent deals in the night, strange deaths, and shows of disrespect toward our military and FBI were rampant. Indeed, the American Spectator thrived.
As time has passed, however, the current occupant of the White House is such an unAmerican, egotistical, narcissistic, arrogant, partisan, divisive individual that the Clintons pale in comparison.
More and more we are hearing rumors of Hillary challenging Obama in the primary for the democrat nomination. In addition to the story of how she was cheated out of the nomination through Obama hijinks, members of the democrat party will never, ever let go of their contempt for the Obamas. Particularly interesting has been the behavior of one James Carville, a rabid democrat and Clinton friend. He has been openly frustrated and contemptuous of the Obama administration's lack of action resolving the destruction by oil of the beaches in Louisiana near his home.
MOST interesting is the poll that everyone's talking about which reveals that so many Americans (55%) think that Obama is a socialist. This was a Carville poll....hmmmm. What's going on with that? It undoubtedly undermines the president in revealing how low the president's approval rating is, lower than previously documented. Now why would Carville reveal this? If he were truly supporting the Obama administration, wouldn't he have found a way to soften and not disclose this disgruntlement with Obama?
As hard as this is to admit, it is now obvious that Hillary would have been a much better leader than the current occupant, who doesn't seem to understand anything about this country, leadership, loyalty and magnanimity toward mankind.
The Anchoress has an insightful perspective on this situation; this is not an endorsement of Hillary. It is simply an observation that, under Hillary's watch, the 24/7 parties, the golfing, the lackadaisical response to crises both internal and external...these things would not have happened. This article is well worth reading in its entirety.
As far as Hillary running against Obama for the primary, meh. Highly unlikely. However, she waits. She waits.

And Bill Clinton would never be so tone deaf as to tell people, in the midst of a major recession/depression, to take their vacations at the tar-balled beaches of the Gulf States, while the First Family heads in the other direction. He would never, intentionally or not, deliver a message that says, essentially, that tarball-beaches, are just fine for the little people.
Then again, under a President Hillary, it is entirely likely that there would be no tar-balled beaches in the Gulf; had the BP blast happened on Hillary Clinton’s watch, there would have been no need for silly talk of “boots on necks” and “ass-kicking,” because the federal government’s response to the crisis would have been swift, competent, energetic and focused on containment, containment, containment of that spill.
Because Hillary Clinton knows what apparently the “sort of god” fellow who the “mediating intelligences” in the gatekeeping press told us was “taking a step down, to be president” does not understand: it’s the economy, stupid. You get ahead of a crisis, you don’t allow circumstances to overtake you; you don’t allow environmental and economic catastrophe to take hold in people’s minds or imaginations. You raise the flag, you accept the help, you send the supertankers and you never give up. You keep the people working, because as long as they’re working and manufacturing and spending, and dreaming, they believe that everything is alright, and that the future holds something for their children.
