Three unnamed "congressional officials" are cited by the AP as the source of this latest cock and bull story advanced by the Obama administration. According to the report when the administration briefed the senate in a closed door session it stated that the reason the administration did not inform congress of the impending swap was because the Taliban threatened to kill Bowe Bergdahl if the deal became public.
Evidently the Taliban said it would be alright to tell Harry Reid but no one else but what difference does it make?

Can these people be trusted? No I'm not referring to the Taliban I'm referring to Harry Reid and the morons on Pennsylvania Avenue. The Taliban has been infinitely more candid than the Obama administration. Presumably if the Taliban ordered Obama to put $100 million in unmarked bills under a flat rock in Yellowstone Park he would comply.
