EPA chief declares "war on coal," that is, energy in Ohio

As with natural gas and oil, the United States is blessed with abundant resources in coal, enough to last over 200 years. Coal is produced in 25 states, 90% of which is used to produce 39% of the electricity in the US. Unfortunately Ohio will be greatly affected Obama's EPA rules.
There are other concerns as well. From  Forbes:
Eliminating coal from the power generation mix without replacing it with other baseload electricity sources would lead to blackouts during times of peak demand in summer and winter. Policies that cause Grandma to freeze to death usually don’t last long. In fact, there’s good reason to believe that now is the time to buy coal.
This is part of Obama's strategy to appease his own and his followers' war on coal. While Leftists call citing this quote "scaremongering," the reality is that this is what Obama believes:
“Under my plan of a cap-and-trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket,” Obama told the Chronicle. “Coal-powered plants, you know, natural gas, you name it, whatever the plants were, whatever the industry was, they would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money. They will pass that money on to consumers.”
Even Leftists are concerned about the effect on the power grid of EPA's war on coal.
Here you can see two of the US's political grandees' laughing about getting rid of coal as a source of energy.
