Obama vows to use Gulf tragedy for own agenda

Okay, if you can stand one more interview with the Egomaniac in Chief, this one will really make your blood boil, keeping in mind Rahm Emanuel's remark to never allow a crisis to go to waste. In the latest screed, The One compares the oil disaster to 9/11 which, you might remember, was a deliberate attack by religious fanatics on the homeland, using the deaths of our citizens to intimidate us into accepting jihad.

Today's interview reveals a self-absorbed consciousness unknown to previous administrations. Sure, it takes a big ego to want to become and strive for the presidency, but one begins to wonder if psychiatrist Robin of Berkeley isn't right when she suggests there is something seriously wrong with Obama and Dorothy Rabinowitz's concern that there is something really, really strange going on in the White House.

Today Obama revealed that he will be using this crisis which HE has allowed to reach monstrous proportions (see here and here) through mismanagement, laxity and general disinterest. Plus he didn't have a straw to suck up the oil, so THAT's made it difficult. How will he be using it? He is going to push cap and trade and new energy policies toward technology that does not yet exist. (Sidenote: nasty little Smart cars are NOT going to save the planet)

Is this why he's been dragging his feet in cleaning up the mess in the Gulf? Is this why he won't employ new methods to clean up the beaches? Is this why he is banning reporters and photographers from interviewing workers and flying overhead to get pictures of what's really happening down there? Is he letting it get to such crisis proportions that people will absolutely freak out once they see what's happening? Is this all about new taxes, new controls, new regulations, new "change" that he still feels mandated to enact?
