Scandal over commander in the field erupts

Not surprisingly, it appears General McChrystal hasn't been getting along with the Obama administration. Why he spoke through this interview (as yet unpublished) in Rolling Stone is a mystery but speak he did and Obama and his buddies do not look good in it. McChrystal, who voted for Obama, was disappointed in how ill prepared Obama was for their initial meeting. (Perhaps the Commander in Chief was golfing rather than preparing for a background meeting.) In this article, apparently the General disses Biden and Obama, but commends Hillary Clinton for her support. Here is background info at the Atlantic:

Here is commentary from Hot Air:
There’ll be more on this later in the week, needless to say, but it’s worth putting it on your radar screen now. Be sure to read the whole AP piece too, as there’s more to it than just the bit I quoted — including troops in the field, again on record, questioning McChrystal’s rules of engagement. Exit question: Between this and Karzai reportedly giving up on NATO, isn’t anyone on our side in sync?
Soldiers are concerned about the rules of engagement, which include orders such as carrying unloaded guns on patrol with the ultimate prize being a plan for an award for "courageous restraint," which presumably means you're dead because you either didn't fire or had no bullets.
The latest update is that McChrystal has apologized for his comments, which were inappropriate for a commander in the field.
He has been called back to Washington, D.C. Huh. Wonder what his future holds. Huh.
You gotta love this White House picture of Obama and McChrystal and Eickenberry, the guy who's feuding with McChrystal. The two guys looking at The One are about ready to bolt, staring across the huge expanse of the table. So approachable!!?
Eickenberry is hunched over like a Munsters family member and boy! Is that a great shot of The Lightbringer's ears or WHAT? Is this a pencil head?
Somehow "Team America" comes to mind.
