Eight days ago, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal ordered barges to begin vacuuming crude oil out of his state's oil-soaked waters. Today, against the governor's wishes, those barges sat idle, even as more oil flowed toward the Louisiana shore.

Mr. President, is it because they're RED states?
Is that why the governors of these states can't get straight answers about who's in charge of the oil spill? Why would your Coast Guard STOP 16 barges from collecting oil for 24 hours? Why? And why, when governors request boom and equipment, would it take your people so long to get it and then send it to another state? Why, Mr. President? We want to know.Is it because they're RED states and not valuable to you politically? Are you TRYING to ruin the coastlines so that people will want to find a way to use windmills to run a car? Or are your people just THAT incompetent? We want answers!
