Controversies today & yesterday, part 2

So the other important controversy kicking around the web is...the size of Sarah Palin's bust. No, I'm serious. This is not a joke. Well, it is a joke that these idiots would be saying these things. Apparently Palin was wearing a gathered tee shirt that flattered her figure in a photograph at a good angle, which caused Democrats to start tittering and tweeting that she must have had a breast augmentation (some commenters use cruder language, creating a backlash naming these commenters "boobers").
OF course, what is at the bottom of this ridiculous distraction is that the left is seeking to marginalize and objectify Palin's power politically, as she is making more and more sense lately, unlike many of the talking heads. As Jammie suggests, imagine if conservatives did this to a Democrat female politician (which is unimaginable, considering the current crop of Democrat female politicians-shudder). That liberals must attack Palin on her looks and her intelligence speaks to the fact that they can't argue with what she says, at least substantively. The fact that she makes them so angry as she blithely sails along these days in general ignoring their vitriol says something about the freshness and candor of her message--and the condescending attitude of her opposition.
Here's an excerpt from the Boston Herald, which picked the buzz up from a Democrat political gossip column. The word "newfound" is conjecture, but you'd have to infer that.
Decide for yourself. Here are two photographs from the same day. This is what passes for liberal political punditry in these days. This is the extent of thoughtfulness and intelligent debate. This is it.
