The One's concern over the oil spill

He seems so concerned, n'est ce pas? So concerned that he goes on vacation, has a quick 3 hour trip down to the oil spill, and goes back on vacation. He has time for a Paul McCartney concert, lots of dinners and golfing but none for the oil slogged marshlands? Oh, but surely he'll talk about the problem. And surely in these stressful times when we can hardly stand to watch the news because of [him] the damage the oil spill is doing and the ominous warning that this could go on for years and turn the Gulf into a dead zone....surely he'll comfort "the people" and not become partisan and hateful toward people who don't think the way he does but want to respect the president of their country. Surely...
I noted earlier that it sure felt like Obama was spending very little of his speechtoday on his purported top priority— the oil spill in the Gulf. The transcript is below the fold (also here), but here are the totals:
Total Speech: 5,433 words
Oil spill: 193 words
GOP: 676 words
Miscellaneous sporting events: 96 words [SNIP]
So, the party out of power was somewhere between two and four times more important than the economy-threatening, ecosystem-strangling, gigantic oil spill, which is Obama's No. 1 priority.
