Fighting Uphill is Normal for Linda McMahon
I liked this woman two years ago and I like her now. Her troubled is woman don't like her. The latest PPP poll showed her beating Democrat Chris Murphy among men by 7 points while losing among women by 20 percent. She leads among independents by 17 points but the defection of Republican women makes her race difficult. Difficult but not impossible and McMahon does difficult pretty damn well. Difficult such as graduating from college in three years so she and her husband could start their careers at the same time. Difficult as in going through a personal bankruptcy and even receiving food stamps and then building a multi-billion dollar international business. Difficult as in negotiating deals with product merchandise vendors and television networks. The McMahons took a small time wrestling promotion business and built it into a publicly traded company that reaches13 million viewers in the U.S. and broadcasts its shows in 30 languages to more than 145 countries and that was difficult.
Both of McMahon's parents worked low paying civilian jobs at the Marine base at Cherry Point, North Carolina. She met her husband, Vince when she was 13 and he was 16. They have been married for 45 years.
I became a Linda McMahon fan when I saw the debate the following clip was taken from. Richard Blumenthal struggles for almost 2 minutes trying to explain how a job is created. McMahon needs only 18 seconds.
