PPP Poll Confirms Turner's Lead In NY 9

The latest PPP poll on tomorrow's special election in New York's 9th congressional district shows Turner winning but contains some interesting data and this dire insight from the Democratic poll:

“If Republicans win this race on Tuesday it’s real world evidence of how unpopular
Barack Obama is right now,” said Dean Debnam, President of Public Policy Polling.
“Approval polls are one thing but for the GOP to win in a heavily Democratic district like
this would send a strong message about how unhappy voters are.”

Turner leads Democrat David Weprin 47-41 with Socialist Workers candidate Christopher Hoeppner at 4% and 7% of voters remaining undecided. Among the precious independent voters Turner out polls Weprin 58 to 26 percent. Looking deeper in the poll Obama leads Perry 44 to 43 percent in the same district he beat McCain 55 to 44 percent. If you are shopping today it might be too optimistic to buy champaign but it wouldn't hurt to pick up a six pack.

  1. Heh. I was just going to post this exact quote. Do people realize how universe-rocking earth-shattering this race is? Interesting that the msm seems to be acting like it's no big deal or isn't happening. This is HUGE.
