I'm glad Mayor Michael Bloomberg cleared this up for us.
“I think we tend to read into individual races that may have local inputs and we try to expand it and say that changes the whole world,” Bloomberg said. “Let’s assume that the Republicans win ... it’s not the end of the Obama administration and the Republican resurgence.”
Of course he's right. This race is not a referendum on Obama and his loathsome treatment of Israel. Former Mayor Ed Koch, a Democrat and a Jew always backs Irish Catholic Republicans and the same is true for New York assemblyman Dov Hikind. In polling Republican Bob Turner was leading Democrat David Weprin in largely Jewish Sheep's Head Bay while Weprin led in Catholic-Protestant Queens. Nothing here for Obama to worry about.
