More Swedes Opt for Private Health Insurance

Sweden, long the bastion of cradle to grave entitlements, has introduced a novel idea into its health care scheme; private insurance. From the Local, an English newspaper;

"While Sweden has long taken pride in its public healthcare system, lengthening queues and at times inconsistent care have prompted many Swedes to opt for private healthcare with many gaining the benefit through insurance policies offered by employers, currently responsible for 80% of healthcare insurance market.

Long queues, one of the few constants in public financed health care, are the reason as many as 500,000 Swede have opted for the "private option".
