Obama plans to turn anti-Wall Street anger on Mitt Romney, Republicans
So writes the Washington Post. The Post doesn't delve into the ethics of such a tactic concentrating instead on polling that show anger with Wall Street crossing political boundaries. It is hard to fathom that a major newspaper would not comment on this Machiavellian ploy in which the President is seemingly about to diminish the office he holds to a low not seen since Watergate. Yes, Washington Post demagoguery does work.On a more pragmatic level, it's hard to believe Obama and the Democrats want to bet on an unknown quantity such as the Occupy Wall Street thuggery. The all too visible anti-Semitism, the appeal to anarchy, the lack of any coherent goal or message and a disdain for Wall Street insiders make this a high risk venture for President Goldman Sachs. As for Romney, he probably deserves all he gets. He has yet to find the courage, that Herman Cain and Michele Bachmann have to denounce OWS for what it is. “The reason you’re seeing protests . . . is middle-income Americans are having a hard time making ends meet,” opines a spineless Romney.
I remember Doug Schoen and Pat Caddell shaking their heads in disbelief and anger as the Democrats passed Obamacare and saying that it would destroy the party. It looks as if the Democrats and Obama have found a new way to finish that job.
