Joe The Plumber for Congress

I dunno. I collected signatures for Pat Buchanan when he challenged Bush. I was a registered Democrat at the time but Pat's campaign was in no condition to be picky. Mostly just four of us collected the required number of signatures in the eighth congressional Indiana district to put Buchanan on the state primary ballot. By the time the May primary rolled around Buchanan had dropped out. Then I got enthusiastic about Steve Forbes but never worked for his campaign. And the same with Christine O'Donnell. Sorry folks no experience no backing from me unless you can point to some dramatic achievement in your private life. I've been disappointed too often. Yes I did back my present Congressman who had no political experience but no one in the field did. I'm of mixed mind on the prospects of Herman Cain. Readers should note that the support he has received from this blog has come from my partner not me. Cain isn't really a non-politician he is an unsuccessful politician, having lost a senate race in Georgia.

This brings us to the topic of Joe "the plumber" Wurzelbacher who has announced his candidacy to run against one of two titans in the Democratic Party-either Dennis Kucinich or Marcy Kaptur. Wurzelbacher got famous accidentally when a not-to-clever candidate Obama extolled the wisdom and goodness of "spreading the wealth" on live camera while talking to Wurzelbacher. Personally I feel he is about as much of a legitimate politician as Levi Johnson. He was there. That is his achievement. Take a bow and move on. Of course any GOP candidate is going to be a long shot in Ohio 9 so don't mind me. I don't have a vote. I'm conflicted enough with a Tea Party candidate with a tax problem and Dick Lugar.

  1. And I just came off a pretty intense campaign to replace Kaptur with Rich Iott and look what they did to him.

The question is what we have in there now. At this point, I'd be ready just for a 'yes" vote to replace the "Let's spend more money" socialist meme that represents District 9 now.

I've met Joe. Nice guy. Politician? No. Gave a good speech. I'm sure Marcy's a nice person too.

She's just been in there too long. I am more focused on the Senate and House races than even president, because they are what will motivate whoever's in the WH.

Also Herman Cain. Look, I liked Perry. I don't even think the debates are that significant since they seem more like beauty contests at this point to me.

I seriously LIKE Cain. I like how he stirs things up. He makes mistakes, but this would be true of any conservative since the raking over they get from the media never compares to the Democrats media love kisses.

And aren't we OVER politicians yet? The most important thing is organizing and handling crises. Both Perry and Cain have done that. And look what the heck we have in there now. Yowza. Drudge has a headline running about how "lonely" he is.

Ugh. It's a lonely job. If Mr. Narcissist wasn't prepared for that, he shouldn't have run.

So that's where I am on that.

  2. I'm sure Joe is a nice guy. Wurzelbacher is close to Wilsbacher, my mother's maiden name.
