Brown Leads Mandel in Latest Poll

The latest Public Policy Polling poll in Ohio has bad news for both Senator Sherrod Brown and his challenger Ohio State Treasurer Josh Mandel. Brown's approval rating is a meager 42 percent but Mandel can't capitalize on this vulnerability Brown holds a 45 to 36 percent lead over Mandel. Mandel's name recognition is only still at only 39 percent but his favorability rating is getting worse as he becomes better known. When asked, do you have a favorable or unfavorable opinion of Josh Mandel? The response is favorable 14 percent favorable, 25 percent unfavorable and 61 percent undecided. Although Brown has a 20 percent approval rating among Republicans he polls negatively among independents 37 to 44 percent. Brown is vulnerable but Mandel is going to have get his campaign in gear.
