Now Real Clear Politics writes that there's no way Cain will ever be president, according to numerous sources:
Is it possible that someone with that pedigree actually can become commander in chief -- or even get his party’s nomination?
To hear Washington tell it, the answer is “No way in Hell.”
For one thing, Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist Clarence Page plugged Cain’s rise in the polls on MSNBC’s “The Daily Rundown” because, he said, that was the closest Cain would ever get to becoming president.
Political strategists say with near uniformity that the reason for Cain’s surge is that the Republican electorate is simply not ready to commit to any of the front-runners.The Washington Republican elite have decided that Romney will be the candidate; in fact, even Perry isn't an issue, according to Georgette Mosbacher, major fundraiser:
Following Governor Christie’s announcement on Tuesday top GOP official and bundler Gerogette Mosbacher told reporters, “We do not consider Perry a factor… We know who will be our nominee.”So they've decided it's over. Romney's it, just like John McCain's turn came up and Bob Dole's.
It's the other candidates' fault that Cain won't win. It's the voters' fault. Whatever.
Does it make sense that a man of the credentials we have listed in the post preceding this one would do anything frivolous?
Does it make sense that a man who has written other significant books would run for president to "sell" his current on?
Does it make sense that a man who accepts difficult challenges such as turning around a company that is the lowest performing in the nation would run for president as a joke?
Are you seriously considering someone like Cain over Ron Paul? I am absolutely amazed at the Tea Party. It is so upsetting to me that I feel we have chance to remain one country.
