The Wisconsin Supreme Court ruled 4-3 to uphold the collective bargaining law that stripped most public employees of their bargaining right. The bill had been stayed by a lower court that found that the Wisconsin Senate had violated "open meeting" laws when voting on the bill.
Justice David Prosser reelection must be seen as a clear victory for Republicans and a devastating blow to the union movement.
