Waiting for them to spin history

It'll be interesting to see how the doves react to all this jubilation over the death of bin Laden.
Will the doves who decried the use of any information extracting methods celebrate?
Will they celebrate the death of a human being?
Will they become suddenly patriotic, supporting the "murder"?
Whose side are they on now? Are they on the side of this administration, who ordered the kill? Are they on the side of the military this time?
Of course, the reason we got this guy was because of information culled from "techniques" used to extricate information from Guantanamo residents. That would be Bush's project, for which the doves pursued Bush's legal advisors.
Then we'll see if they rip on Bush for some unknown reason, trying to use this once again as a political advantage for the current president, for whom (it's been lamented) a "9/11 moment" was needed.
  Whose side are they on?
Just as the war protesters disappeared with the change of administrations, we'll see now how they react.
Will they protest the death of the others with bin Laden, including the female human shield, screaming and throwing themselves on the cement in front of the White House, counting the numbers of those who died from US military action?
Or will they count those who died as simply collateral damage.

  1. Since everything so far has been "Bush's fault," I wonder if he will now be given credit for putting this in motion.

Probably not - he only gets credit for the bad stuff!

  3. I saw Reagan that day too! The whistle stop tour! He was so great. I remember I had a little flag and secret service broke off the stick for "safety," which made it much more dangerous. He was magnificent though!
Hey, as far as the blogroll...DONE! Thanks for the note. Reagan was a hero we all miss.

  4. As far as Bush goes, I'm trying to imagine the parading of political signs after the death of Osama if BUSH had been prez. Can you imagine the squawking?
