Now THIS is about women's health.

at least...one tiny woman...

This time, Leftists go too far

I consoled myself a while ago that most of the country is not Leftist; that Leftists are out for themselves; that because they are out for themselves and their twisted "ideals" we just have to wait until they self destruct, because that they will surely do.
It's pretty difficult to sit around and wait, especially after pouring so much into the last election and then watching Leftists attempt to destroy this country.
It's even more difficult when your favorite talk radio hosts pound on all the negative things happening, including the incredible wussification of the Republican Party, which appears to be made up of yes men, sycophants and power mongers.
Rubio's out. I liked Rand Paul but now distrust him since one of his staff revealed (however inadvertently) that Paul is just "playing the game."
The Republican bench is deep, however, and Ted Cruz who appears to be unafraid of the power mongers is a true leader. Rick Perry is looking better after his devastating presidential campaign, probably launched too early because of dealing with meds from painful back surgery.
But Obama is really proving who he is. I don't think it's cynical to say that he really doesn't care what's good for the country; he cares about installing his people into significant positions of power and he cares about "fundamentally transforming America," which isn't going as smoothly as he'd like.
He also cares about vacations, golfing and padding his own nest. The power he claimed he didn't crave is enthralling him as he makes mistake after mistake.
Not that he cares about making mistakes anymore now that he's been reelected.
Bad optics don't bother him; what can anyone do to him? No one's going to impeach him, for all their bravado. Boehner's certainly no threat, and Mitch McConnell and Eric Cantor have proven to be disappointments.
But I remain convinced that the American people will not tolerate the increasing vice of federal fingers around their throats.
Though it will take time and perspective, most people will come to understand that Obama and his bots don't care about racially uniting this country, they don't care about creating jobs and they don't care about the poor.
Let's take for example what "educators" are trying to do to our schools.
Tremendous pushing has come from the homosexual/transgender activist community, particularly since the Supreme Court ruling, which I might remind people was about the estate tax. A homosexual couple can will their estate to each other.
In Massachusetts in February of 2013, their Department of Education decreed that, up to the age of 14, students may enter bathrooms and locker rooms of the opposite sex if those students identify that day with the opposite sex.
No doctor's note is necessary nor is a parent involved in this decision.
In fact, if a girl is offended, disturbed or upset by a boy or boys being in their locker rooms, bathrooms and changing facilities, that girl can be accused of harassment or bias.
In fact, "any outwardly negative reaction against transgenderism can now be considered bullying, and subject to discipline and punishment," because, you know, Leftists are really concerned about bullying, especially when it comes to people who don't think the way they do.
This ruling applies to athletic teams also.
As if it isn't enough to turn Massachusetts into a free for all at school, California's legislators have done the same thing with an openly gay activist politician writing and pushing Assembly Bill 1266 which awaits Gov. Moonbeam Brown's signature. Daily Caller:
If the new law goes into effect, it will be the first such law anywhere in the country that expressly insists that public school facilities and school-sponsored activities provide equal access to all students based purely on the way they feel about their genders.
“Our view is that California’s existing law should already require schools to provide transgender students with equal access to facilities and activities,” Shannon Price Minter, legal director of the National Center for Lesbian Rights, told CNN.
The consequences of this bill will be widespread and most probably devastating.
Imagine your daughter upset that a boy who has been harassing her decides to go to the principal and claim he identifies as a female; this boy will be able to change clothes with her in the locker room, play on her volleyball team and claim harassment if she complains about his intimate behavior.
Though "women's" groups seem uninterested in defending "women" in this matter, the threat to upsetting the precarious sexual balance in schools, particularly high schools known for their hazards, should drive even Leftists to see the foolishness of such a law.
  But no.
Women's health? Don't worry about it.
Though this bill is being touted as a significant gain for "transgender students' rights" it is really about discriminating against the 2 genders which make up 98% of this country.
One can only imagine how Black and Hispanic groups in California, who were responsible for voting down homosexual marriage in California, will view such an intrusion into the lives of their children.
  Good luck with explaining that.
And wait until athletic teams are disbanded because everyone from the coach to the players will be afraid to compete fairly for fear of being accused of "harassment."
  Just good luck with that.

Empowering Educators to Lead with Gangsta Rap

The National Education Association, whose members deserve more respect and higher pay kicked off a workshop at its convention in Atlanta with “Wobble” by V.I.C. Naturally the lyrics have the "niggra" word and plenty of sexual references and innuendos but hey, who would not want to entrust their children to these fun loving pedagogues who have a real appreciation of perversion. The purpose of the workshop is all about “empowering educators to lead.”. Leading from behind?

Partial lyrics:
I got em’ shakin their boobies like congos,
Man I’m shaking the city like quakes.
The haters blue the face like gonzo,
Cause I’m rakin a cake so let’s bake.
I’m taking the game, the games mine.
Ya’ll witness a change it’s my time.
Yea I’m new to the game but ya’ll might wanna save ya whack raps daylight saving time
I could dance homie, I don’t 2-step,
Ya’ll looking at something like a true player.
A girl told me that a man that could dance might could possibly get down with the tool in his pants.
Now all my ladies let me see you vibrate.
And when it’s over you ain’t gon need ya vibrator.
Cause I’m a pro, make ya bend ya back low den just pound it real fast just like purkulator

Church Pleads on Facebook for Couple to Adopt Downs Syndrome Baby

Every once in awhile we get a story that makes you really proud of the American people. The Holy Trinity Catholic Church of Gainsville, Virginia has been deluged by over 900 offers to adopt a baby with Downs Syndrome that would otherwise be aborted. The mother and her partner agreed to not to abort the baby if someone would adopt it. Lead Pastor Father Vander Woude took his plea to Facebook.

"When we got in and opened up around 9:30, it was nearly nonstop. All day long, we were receiving phone calls from people who wanted to adopt the baby, Father Vander Woude has gotten over 900 emails in regard to the baby."
Offers poured in from outside the United State too including from England, Puerto Rico and the Netherlands. There was an urgency in the appeal. The woman was almost 6 months pregnant and nearing the end of the time for a legal abortion.

Peak OIL Blog Calls it Quits

The concept of peak oil dates all the way back to 1956. Like Paul Ehrlich's The Population Bomb which was published in 1968 it has a pessimism that infatuates the left. When Ehrlich wrote his doomsday scenario both China and India were incapable of feeding themselves. While both countries still have poverty their development over the past 40 years would have, if not for the adoring and glooming left, made Ehrlich the posthumous laughing stock of his era. The concept of peak oil is pretty simple and simplistic. Supposedly by the mid 50's the world had discovered all of the easily recoverable crude oil so from then on it was downhill. The only energy that mankind could depend on was the inefficient renewable brand. The patent fallacy of the peak oil hypothesis was it assumed 1950's technology and 1950's pricing.
With the advent of fracking, while peak oil adherents still infest the EPA and Department of Energy, public sympathy has waned to the point that The Oil Drum, the premier blog on the subject, has shut down. The post garnered more than 700 comments from readers mourning the site’s virtual death.
Cheer up! In spite of the considerable expense of maintaining the site which may exceed $100 annually they will keep all the old posts online for nostalgic readers.

Out-Sataning Satan

As a small time blogger (and I do mean small), rather than compete with the millions who read Drudge Report every ten minutes, I'm thinking lately you have to be selective with regard to blog topics.
We tend to focus on the economy and the more outrageous and flagrant violations of morality and the law.
The problem with that philosophy is that there have been so many outrageous flagrant violations of morality and/or the law that you get overwhelmed. I mean seriously. It's exhausting.
You don't want to be raging all the time, perpetually shrieking about this or that situation created by the commies currently in charge of our government.
So with that boundary in mind, I'm going to break my own rule (however loose) and make sure my reader knows about this happened the other day.
So I've written about the Wendy Davis Texan situation who filibustered for over 11 hours to make sure that Texans have the right to end the lives of in utero babies beyond 20 weeks.
But listen to this study in macabre contrast.
While the pro-life supporters were singing "Amazing Grace" during the abortion debate, the pro-death supporters (who are more Leftist than Europe in their desire to see unbridled public provided abortion at any baby's stage of life) decided they'd chant "Hail Satan," an act that wasn't unique to that occasion and has happened several times.
Here's a picture of the charming individuals who are pro-death Satan chanters.
The Blaze has more pictures of these charming individuals who lack only underarm hair to make them yet more appealing though I'm sure we look closely enough,we'll find someone who fits that description.
Naturally Leftists went into overdrive, claiming it wasn't so, it's only 5 people, it was all a joke, blah blah blah.
Unfortunately there's video, as always seems to happen, gol-darn-it!
In addition, some Leftist put a really nasty sign into a little girl's hands to protest any change to abortion law in Texas. (The changes include cleaning up abortion clinics, ala Gosnell and, yes, there are more Gosnells out there.)
The Atlantic's Elspeth Reeve leap into ridicule/action, mocking the pro-lifers' and conservative bloggers' concern that "Hail Satan!" is the new chant for abortionists and the "fake" nasty sign and claiming it was all a lie! and not true!
(You remember Elspeth Reeve. She's the lying hack blonde who's married to the phony liar "military" blogger Scott Beauchamp who made up all kinds of nasty stuff about the military and was later proven to be the fraud he is. Oddly she's still married to him.)
And then there's those shrill pro-deathers who screamed eff you at the pro lifers and then slumped down into a meditative circle of solemn and intent peaceniks. Uh huh. They're genuinely in love with all of humanity, eh?
And unfortunately for Elspeth Reeve and other Leftists, there's lots of video and a few dated photos and so, as Twitchy snarks, Reeve was forced to eat crow to acknowledge the pro-lifers are right, though you won't note that on the link above.
From LifeNews, you hear the chant clearly:

Turns out the Church of Satan is, um, pro life and has denounced the pro deathers tactics, protesting:
Unfortunate to see Satan's name used in such a diabolical manner. Another example of what 'Satanism' doesn't represent. #HailSatan
— UK Church of Satan (@UKChurchofSatan) July 3, 2013
later emphasized again in this tweet:
Why wouldn't Satanism be pro-life? What else is there? We are all free to make choices. Agreeable or not. Everyone is entitled to choice.
How many times am I going to agree with the Church of Satan? I might iterate this will undoubtedly be the first and last time.
Those pro-deathers ought to be proud of themselves them.
How often do you get to out-evil Satan?
  Huh.
Hoosierman's pro-life report is indeed encouraging, especially considering that only 14 percent of the public favor abortion in the third trimester.
I shudder as I write that.

Obama makes fraud even easier

As if it's not enough that the now old health care law is written in dense language over the course of thousands of pages, now we learn there will be few safeguards against fraud.
We can cut fireworks for the military on July 4, we can boot the public from touring the White House, we can restrict flights for airports, but we can also afford $100 million for a gratuitous sight seeing tour for the POTUS and his family.
We can afford to send billions to illegal immigrants' phantom children in other countries.
We can spend $800,000 to have someone click "like" on the State Department's Facebook page.
We can run surveys on ridiculous projects like the sex habits of prostitutes in China.
We can spend millions of dollars on fancy uniforms for the TSA to swell their already huge egos so they can stick their hands in our underpants.
We can pay huge salaries for IRS and GSA employees to party in Vegas, make stupid videos and hound taxpaying citizens for wanting to be part of the electoral process.
But we can't afford--either in organization, money or intelligence--to use an eVerify system to make sure people tell the truth when they apply for free or subsidized government health care.
Can you say....Let's make fraud even easier?
The announcement came on Friday without fanfare with the Department of Health and Human Services publishing the notification in the Federal Register.
Verification plans for the taxpayer subsidies won't go into effect until 2015 for those earning about $45,000 to purchase health insurance, or earning $15,000 to qualify for Medicaid in the District and 23 participating states.

Crossroad's Walk For Life

I was attending a family reunion, high in the Appalachians, the first the family had managed in 25 years. "I was blown away. I didn't know they still made people like that." remarked the wife of a first cousin who I had never met. The object of the lady's admiration was a family member who was not yet born when the family last got together. She had just rotated out of her group which had begun walking across the continent in Seattle Washington toward its final destination Washington, DC. Normally I don't afford family members that young too much awe, generally settling for polite disdain, as I think most members of my generation do but after speaking to my new found relative for a few minutes it occurred to me I was out of my depth both spiritually and intellectually. "I thought the Pro Life movement was a generational thing," I finally muttered. "It is." she shot back beaming with enthusiasm. "You should go on the campus of a Catholic college." Of course in my generational vanity I had assumed that the "generational thing" had broken toward my generation but my young cousin who is studying statistics at Notre Dame with the hope of earning a phd in the field shattered that mistaken perception. Her generation is the future and with her and her polite, matter of fact optimism the future looks bright.
Crossroads was founded in 1995 by Steve Sanborn, a student at Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio as a response to John Paul II’s call to the youth of the world to take an active role in the pro-life movement in order to establish a Culture of Life. An integral part of Crossroads is its yearly pro-life pilgrimages across the United States. Each summer, young adults walk on four simultaneous pro-life walks across America from Seattle, San Francisco, San Jose and Los Angeles to Washington, DC. There are also cross continent pilgrimages in Canada, Australia, and Iceland.

There is even a Crossroads blog and this post was especially touching.
A gentleman approached us and jokingly asked our group why we were not walking. I vaguely recognized him and assumed he must have been at morning Mass; we proceeded to explain that our RV was having issues and we needed to get it fixed. He smiled, went on his way, and we continued to pray Morning Prayer. Little did I know that this stranger would be the Good Samaritan who would help us continue on our journey.
About fifteen minutes later, the gentleman approached us a second time, offering us the number for a tow truck (if we needed it) and a mechanic shop. He continued to explain that he would cover any costs if we took it to the mechanic shop. We were left speechless by his generosity, and I hurried to get Carlos, who was still inside the building.
As Carlos and I returned, we were told that his mechanic shop would not be able to work on the RV until Monday. This was an issue, as eight of my teammates were supposed to already be on the road for New Orleans. We expressed our concern, but the gentleman hurriedly assured us that he would reimburse any RV expenses to whatever shop we took it to. Overwhelmed by the unyielding generosity of a stranger, I shook his hand, thanking him for his graciousness. At my words, “You are such an angel,” tears flooded his eyes, and he walked away, only to return a few minutes later.
I was awed by his open vulnerability and generosity. He returned to thank me for our pro-life work, and tears sprung to his eyes once again. I gave him a hug and soon found this gentleman crying in my arms. Uncertain of what else to do, I assured him of our prayers and gratitude.
While researching my cousin's contention that the present generation is at the front of the Pro Life movement I came across this 2012 story that never made national news. The mainstream media down played the event by selectively photographing the 50,000 mostly young people to understate the crowd size. Notice all the youthful faces.

Much talk at our family reunions centers on whether or not my great grandfather did indeed torch the B&O trestle at Harper's Ferry, Maryland during the civil war, how his father-in-law got his hands on all that coal mine land in Allegheny county, and whether that obscure ancestor, a Mary Ayers, is the family's dreaded link to the Weather Underground but after this reunion I'm looking forward and the future looks bright.

The Obama scandals continue

I've often commented that Obama makes appointments based on the desire to make himself look better; obviously (rather than for the good of the country) Obama also looks for easily manipulated and/or thuggish politically devious staff.
How else to explain Hillary Clinton? Timothy Geithner? Eric Holder?
  And then John Kerry.
  Sigh.
  John Kerry.
Married to a loaded Republican's widow, kept "man" to Tah-ra-zah and the quintessential Boston Brahmin that so many of the elite used to ridicule, now spends his Gatsby days sporting around the globe, old man, and talking through his nose to accomplish the impossible achieve Middle East peace while lecturing India on their carbon emissions.
Now that he's Secretary of State, we know what's important to him.
  The Impossible Dream.
And his $7 million gas guzzling carbon emitting yacht. (And there's this.)
When a CBS reporter spotted him, the State Department in true Benghazi form, lied about his whereabouts, claiming Kerry was working hard all day in DC on the Egypt mess.
Then another CBS reporter saw him. Oopsie! Darn those omnipresent cameras! You might say he just kinda Lurched into that tough spot without thinking!
But once again, oopsie! Those darn cameras are everywhere! They even record video! And people even have eyes to see! (for a change.)
But we mustn't worry. Even if CBS occasionally laps into journalism, ABC has got Kerry's back with the tweet and subsequent article entitled: "Kerry focused on Egypt despite yacht visit."
Note the casualness of the word visit, as if it's something he rarely does.
Nowhere does ABC mention that Kerry buys Australian and then docks his big arse yacht in another state's waters to avoid those pesky excessive Massachusetts taxes.
And then that old Sarah Palin called out the State Department not for the event of boating in a crisis but for the coverup which prompted Salon editor Walsh to, well, go here to read it. This is really turning into a soap opera.
Finally State had to insist Kerry really wasn't interested in what's going on in Egypt or anywhere else really was on a secure line talking to the POTUS's special team trying to decide who they'll support in Egypt, even if he wasn't in DC as they first claimed.
What's a little lie here or there, after all. It's the government, after all. Everyone expects them to lie, at least this one.
So we turn our puzzled eyes to The Prince for guidance, leadership, in the vain hope that the Ship of State will right itself and provide the kind of direction the confused America-haters seem to need in spite of themselves.
The events in the Middle East this week have been extraordinary, Zimmerman trial notwithstanding: the people have risen in protest of the Muslim Brotherhood's heavy hand but their friend Obama is letting bygones be bygones and has got their backs, as Drudge put it.
But then oopsie! Here we go again!
POTUS, who doesn't seem to care about optics at all anymore since he (or someone taking his picture and tweeting in his name) tweeted this picture of himself (big surprise) with the admonition that y'all should have a great weekend cuz he is too!
Now there's a courageous commander in chief worried about the direction of the nation AND the world! And the planet too!
But Obama's really taking this all very seriously, so seriously that he golfed all day Friday.
Oh, and about that great jobs report for June the Obamabots are crowing about...Obama was working on that too.
See, all those jobs are part time jobs due to the impending doom of Obamacare, a due date of which has been illegally postponed by The Prince, who can do as he dang well pleases, mind you, old man.
In fact, the rumor's going around that this country may never have full time jobs for its citizens anymore...that holding several part time jobs may be part of Obama's legacy, not to mention making a mess of the Middle East who all really love him now.
UPDATE: Even Reuters has noticed that this all looks very bad.

US abortionists more Leftist than Europe

In case you are pro-choice and think that the restrictions Texan legislators are trying to impose on abortions are excessive--you know, like no killing BABIES after 20 weeks in the womb--take a look at the "restrictions" Europe puts on pregnant women here from the BBC, of all places:
BBC graphic

In general, 12 weeks is the guideline limit for abortion; after that period, the procedure of abortion has strict restrictions concerning who is eligible, including such policies as informational sessions, counseling, the admonition that the unborn have a right to life and, in some cases, medical committee approval
From the BBC, we learn the abortion policies in:
  France:
The woman must claim to be in a "state of distress" because of her pregnancy. After 12 weeks, abortions are allowed only if the pregnancy poses a grave danger to the woman's health or there is a risk the child will suffer from a severe illness recognised as incurable. If this is the case, two doctors must confirm the risk to the health of the woman or foetus.
  Germany:
The woman must receive proper counselling three days before the procedure. The state-regulated counselling is required to inform the woman that the unborn have a right to life and to try to convince her to continue her pregnancy.
  Italy:
A one-week reflection period is imposed unless the situation is one of urgency. A certificate confirming the pregnancy and the request for termination must be issued by a doctor and signed by the woman and the doctor.
Despicable Texas Senator Wendy Davis wore pink tennis shoes, a back brace and a catheter to filibuster for 13 hours against improving abortion clinic regulations (ala Gosnell) and against limiting abortion to 20 weeks.
These charming women pictured at the Daily Mail cheered Davis's tearful victory of murdering babies up to 40 weeks:
Daily Mail A/P

Now Davis is excitedly running from news outlet to news outlet, claiming the exhilarating experience now makes her eligible and interested in running for governor.
Apparently the issue is "women's reproductive rights" rather than the rights of the most vulnerable among us. Even if you think abortion is ok, most Americans believe you should get the abortion before the "fetus" is mature enough to survive outside the womb.
But CNN contributor Reuben Navarrette is outraged, outraged at the incivility of arguing with a pro abort like Wendy Davis.
Once again, Navarrette descends to Leftist stereotypes and sexism, claiming Gov. Rick Perry is a "condescending" "bully" because apparently if you're a woman, no one is supposed to disagree with your holiness.
Perry had the nerve to disagree with Davis, referencing her own "life story" as a reason to keep a child rather than abort it. Davis's mother was a single mother and Davis herself a teen mother.
For mentioning those personal facts which are touted on Davis's website as evidence of her gutsiness and courage, Perry is a bully.
This how an in vitro child becomes simply a "woman's life story" rather than a human being with a right to life.
Perhaps Navarrette's most laughable observations are found early in his column:
But the ruckus is also about saying the wrong thing in the wrong way, and coming off like a jerk in the process. It's about etiquette and character, and how intensely unlikable a politician can become when he is running low on both.
See, the problem with your reasoning is, Reuben, that Leftists are the most uncivil of political animals. They're the name callers--just like you--and they're nasty at that.
We have example after example after example of their intolerance, including our current POTUS, who practices gutter politics, keeps an enemies list and who's made an industry of encouraging his supporters to harm their opponents.
With regard to the Texas abortion bill (which will be returning for a vote and Perry is eager to sign) and which would still be liberal even in Europe, the behavior of the pro-choice crowd in the Capitol building speaks louder than any Reuben Navarrette column.
But that's fodder for a post all its own.

Huge Independence Day developments

Independence Day for Egypt? Hard to tell now, since the Muslim Brotherhood is deposed. Will there be a worse one in charge, appointed by the Egyptian military? We have hope.
Valerie Jarrett's mask falls off, as exposed by some writer who's finally (safely in Obama's second term) got onto the story that our de facto POTUS is the Iranian Jarrett, not Obama, who goes mysteriously missing at times. Where?
Read here the absolutely sickening talking points the White House (Jarrett) released (about herself) to the minions to create a positive image of the Shadow President.
Are we witnessing the birth of a new Tea Party tomorrow, as millions protest NSA snooping as indicated by Hoosierman's post below?
And Obama's stock continues to fall, both internationally and nationally.
  God Bless America.

Why is the economy so bad?

Because Leftist politicians don't WANT success and economic freedom. Instead, they WANT economic and social dependence on the government, which gets to decide what you eat, what you make in the way of dollars and employment, your health care...all of it determined by politicians who the cities---and ultimately American voters nationally---continue to vote for in the fear that the hand that feeds them will also take away. It's all exposed here at Forbes, where the author explains that the "Curley Effect" has been in effect in the poorest cities in America and Leftists are hard at work trying to impose it nationally:
  Forbes
The Curley effect is extensive. Perhaps you have seen the chain e-mail listing the ten poorest U.S. cities with a population of at least 250,000: Detroit, Buffalo, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Miami, St. Louis, El Paso, Milwaukee, Philadelphia, and Newark. Besides all having poverty rates between 24 percent and 32 percent, these cities share a common political factor: Only two have had a Republican mayor since 1961, and those two (Cincinnati and Cleveland) haven’t had one since the 1980s. Democratic mayors have had a lock on City Hall despite these once-great and prosperous cities stagnating on their watch. This is the Curley effect in action.
And from a Facebook post at Best of the Web:
10 Poorest Cities in America and how did it happen?
City, State, % of People Below the Poverty Level
1. Detroit , MI 32.5%
2. Buffalo , NY 29.9%
3. Cincinnati , OH 27.8%
4. Cleveland , OH 27.0%
5. Miami , FL 26.9%
6. St. Louis , MO 26.8%
7. El Paso , TX 26.4%
8. Milwaukee , WI 26.2%
9. Philadelphia , PA 25.1%
10. Newark , NJ 24.2%

What do the top ten cities (over 250,000) with the highest poverty rate all have in common?

Detroit, MI
(1st on the poverty rate list)
hasn't elected a Republican mayor
since 1961

Buffalo, NY (2nd)
hasn't elected one since 1954

Cincinnati, OH - (3rd)
since 1984

Cleveland, OH - (4th)
since 1989

Miami, FL - (5th)
has never had a Republican mayor

St. Louis, MO - (6th)
since 1949

El Paso, TX - (7th)
has never had a Republican mayor

Milwaukee, WI - (8th)
since 1908

Philadelphia, PA - (9th)
since 1952

Newark, NJ - (10th)
since 1907

Many Protests Against NSA Spying Planned for Tomorrow

“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures...”
The Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution
Nationwide protests of NSA spying are planned for the 4th of July. Restore the 4th.org heads up the protest with demonstrations planned in many major cities. Reddit and Mozilla, WordPress, and 4chan all veterans of the SOPA-Protect IP online protest that successfully deep sixed online censorship attempts by the Obama administration and Rhino Republicans will display anti-NSA spying messages on their home pages. CallForFreedom.org will raise money online to fund television ads to protest NSA spying.
Remember Rhino Rubio was on the wrong side of the SOPA-Protect IP issue too before switching sides during the protest.

DHS May Deploy Non-Lethal Weaponized Drones

I wonder if this will upset Hispanic voters. The Department of Homeland Security is considering deploying weaponized, non-lethal Predator Drones. A report entitled Concept of Operations for CBP’s Predator B Unmanned Aircraft System” was submitted to Congress on June 29, 2010 shows that, not only is the agency planning to sharply increase the number of Predator drones it flies and the amount of surveillance it conducts by 2016 but it has considered equipping its Predators with “non-lethal weapons designed to immobilize” targets of interest. . The report was recently obtained by the Electronic Frontier Foundation via a FOIA request.
One assumes the drones would be assigned to the Southwest border but the detail "airspace access" is redacted suggesting that DHS may want to fly the weaponized drones over any US airspace. To quote the report;
Additional payload upgrades could include expendable or non-lethal weapons designed to immobilize TOIs. (Targets of interest)

Michelle's own little GetMo

Well, it looks like Michelle's earlier remark that the White House is like "a prison. A very nice prison, but a prison" has irritated a few patriots.
You know, we folks who do not have access to $180,000 an hour jets and thousand dollar dresses, our own chefs, fitness trainers, and a huge entourage of Democrat media personalities willing to wax eloquent about how flabby toned our upper arms are.
So some clever wag created a Twitter hashtag #MichellesPrison which Twitchy has meticulously recorded here.
So I was thinking that, given the new demands of the prisoners at Gitmo, we really ought to think how we can improve poor Michelle's miserable existence. Gitmo prisoners only cost US taxpayers $800,000 per prisoner per year so it appears that Michelle's Prison (GetMo) (just her family) costs the taxpayers $1.4 billion per year, we're getting off cheap with Gitmo as opposed to GetMo.
Just wondering what Michelle O's demands will be, considering how she's "suffered" as she complained to the Senegalese children, throughout her life as a child in an upper class family and now as we realize how she's suffering in "prison."
Will it be a new chef? Perhaps more Photoshopped Vogue covers? Fewer responsibilities? And why can't SHE always be pictured wearing a halo?
  We'll have to see.
One thing's for sure. She won't be going on a hunger strike in GetMo, like the prisoners in Gitmo.

The Obamas continue to amaze, astound and stupefy~or~ What a disaster this Africa trip has been!

  I'll be honest.
I am not enamored with following the minute details of most trials; I've been trying to ignore that the prosecution continues to make the case FOR Zimmerman.
And then I'm ignoring that the respectable "news" organization CNN had to go and give away Zimmerman's personal info and social security number by exposing it on screen.
And I can't stand that the Z haters snatched the info and are squealing it all over the internet. This would be in sympathy, of course, for the child Trayvon Martin.
I'm ignoring all that and just trying to enjoy the glum grayness of Northwest Ohio where it's been raining for about 10 days, undoubtedly due to global warming not.
So I'm lazing around, enjoying life, pretending that all the world's a peach and maybe the news doesn't really happen 24 hours a day and the Egyptians aren't in the agonizing grip of seeking democracy only to have our administration claim that we don't get involved in such politics even though we did call for the removal of the previous Egyptian leader.
Instead this administration snootily extends the royal scepter based on decisions apparently made by Valerie Jarrett while lolling about in the choom wagon.
But then the POTUS traveling in South Africa had to go and make an off prompter comment yesterday that completely changed daily blogging and forced me to get off my hammock, put down my martini and pick up the laptop.
In a video that could be easily inserted in the sequel to 2016 Obama's America Obama complained a few hours ago that since everyone in America has air conditioning and nice houses then the "planet will boil over" if Africans have that stuff too.
No, REALLY. He really said that.
  Here's the quote:
“Ultimately, if you think about all the youth that everybody has mentioned here in Africa, if everybody is raising living standards to the point where everybody has got a car and everybody has got air conditioning, and everybody has got a big house, well, the planet will boil over -- unless we find new ways of producing energy.”
Because, see, "new ways of producing energy" are the 2 millenia windmill, trains which date back to the 16th century and solar energy which dates back to the 7th century.
And, say, how's the algae powered car workin' out for ya?
But, you fool, forget actually utilizing modern resources, like building a pipeline from Canada or cleanly fracking the abundant natural gas resources that would make America the most energy rich country in the world, yielding the highest paid most abundant manufacturing jobs that Democrats have made clear they do not want.
Unlike President Bush, who dedicated his presidency to alleviating the scourge of AIDS in AFrica which even Leftists had to admit significantly improved the lives of Africans, President Obama feels no need to improve the lives of Africans by eradicating poverty or disease.
No, he prefers to take his moment in the African sun to create division between a "wealthy" country like the US and the poverty stricken cultures in Africa.
He prefers to scold people for wanting to be comfortable. You know, like live in a nice house and stuff.
He wants to take his moment in the African sun to bash Americans for wanting to stay cool using air conditioning, apparently forgetting that Obama himself spares no government expense by enjoying a really "toasty" office in winter. Meh. He'll just build himself another oval office because he can. Maybe his people will decorate this one better than the last. At any rate, it'll be cooled and heated as cool and hot as he pleases, regardless the impact on the planet.
Or never mind the $180,000 per hour jet he flies to vacation out of the States or that his wife decided to take an additional plane called Air Force Two to make a day jaunt to Ireland at a cost of a mere $10,000 per hour. And then somebody had to fly AF2 over there for her to utilize, whether she was on it or not. Oh, well, that little 2 day venture only cost the taxpayers $5 million, which pales in comparison to the (at least) $100 million the Africa trip is costing.
Besides, Michelle needed to get out of her "prison" for a few days. A "really nice prison," but a prison indeed for someone who adores being adored, right?
After all, she has self pityingly referred to herself as a murdered child; in Senegal, where 54% of the population lives below the poverty line, Michelle claimed she really understands their experiences in a poverty stricken community because she herself grow up fighting against poverty and low expectations. She has sacrificed, ya know, as have her parents:
"I know a little bit about this from my own experience. See, like many of you, I didn’t grow up in a family with a lot of money. My parents had to work hard every day to support us, so they never had the chance to get the kind of education they wanted for themselves. But they had big dreams for me. And more than anything in the world, they wanted me to graduate from secondary school and attend a university. So they, too, made tremendous sacrifices to make that dream come true," the first lady continued.
  Really?
Have you ever seen the house she grew up in?
Did you know her father was a Democrat biggie who made substantially more money than teachers did at the time?
Michelle's whole "working class" narrative completely falls apart, if the media would even bother to look at it.
But back to Obama, whose brilliant idea to relate to Africans is to “to see if we can leapfrog some of the polluting practices of America or Europe, and go straight to the clean energy strategies that will allow you to advance economic growth, but not corrupt the planet.”
Nothing like condescending to the natives, y'all. The Great White/Black Father Obama knows what's best for y'all. Trust him. Oh, wait. He said not to. My bad.
So I guess the Africans are doomed to try to air condition their houses with a windmill and ride on the 21st century train to economic prosperity where their lives will be enriched by the kind of health care we used to have.
No, the Great White/Black Father wants to encourage entrepreneurship in Africa, since he obviously isn't interested in doing it here. But don't trust anybody, not even the US!!!!

Sigh. Yeah. It's embarrassing. If I had the energy, I'd make a sad faced picture of myself saying, "I'm sorry for voting for this doofus."
  Only I didn't.
So I guess all I can do is console myself by returning to the hammock and the martini.
But dang. If that darned Mandela wouldn't have gotten sick, this Africa trip would have gone better, dammit.

Document Implicates Morsi & Muslim Brotherhood in Benghazi Raid

There is a dynamite post at Townhall .com. The raid on the consulate involved an Egyptian terror cell with direct connection with the Muslim Brotherhood.
Multiple sources have confirmed this document details several confessions of the six Egyptians in Libyan custody for the 9.11.12 bombing of the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi.
The document details the involvement of the Muslim Brotherhood and Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi as being involved with and in the funding, support, planning, and execution of the attack.
What is unique about this document is that its content wasn't leaked to the press in some sort of salacious move. This is simply an interdepartmental memo from the Libyan National Security offices in Tripoli to the Ministry of the Interior. Written solely as a perfunctory after-action report as the results of the Libyan investigation in the events of that night.
It was prepared by Mahmoud Ibrahim Sharif, the Director of National Security of Libya.
In his report Sharif conveys that the Libyan investigation unearthed an Egyptian (terror) cell that had been involved in the planning and execution of the attack. Six confessions from those arrested at the scene--all of them Egyptian--and all connected to the U.S. terror watch listed group Ansar al-Sharia.
Concerning the most important claim of the Libyan memo, Raymond Ibrahim, (an American research librarian, translator, and author, whose focus is Arabic history, language, and current events) indicates that "during interrogations, these Egyptian jihadi cell members 'confessed to very serious and important information concerning the financial sources of the group and the planners of the event and the storming and burning of the U.S. consulate in Benghazi…. And among the more prominent figures whose names were mentioned by cell members during confessions: Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi...'"
The investigation also seems to have unearthed a video taken the night of the attack in which members of the jihadists identify themselves as being sent personally by "Dr. Morsi."

Kerry; Spying on allies is not unusual

I'm glad he cleared that up for us. Secretary of State John Swiftboat Kerry says spying on allies is not unusual. Is it more unusual than locking up people who make YouTube videos critical of Islam?
To quote Kerry in full; "I will say that every country in the world that is engaged in international affairs and national security undertakes lots of activities to protect its national security and all kinds of information contributes to that. All I know is that is not unusual for lots of nations."
That went over like a pregnant pole vaulter with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. 'If it is confirmed that diplomatic representations of the European Union and individual European countries have been spied upon, we will clearly say that bugging friends is unacceptable.
More.

Record THEM, not ME! The arrogance of power

In the completely phony argument to rush a completely phony immigration reform bill through the Senate, Democrats and some Republicans (no Rubio for me!) have insisted that unless Republicans change their dastardly ways, they are destined to become a permanent minority forever and ever and evah.
Color me skeptical that Pelosi and Schumer have the best interests of the Republican Party in mind when they lobby to put millions and millions of new Democrat voters on the Obamacare and welfare trains.
It was clever, really, that they pushed and pushed how mean Republicans are ("Seriously, Republicans, don't you want illegal immigrants to like you?")
Never mind that the push was to put criminals in as legals. Would killing an American make you ineligible for citizenship? Of course not, since this administration argues that that is a legal matter, not an immigration one. These are people, after all, who deserve to be citizens of the US regardless their previous history of breaking the law and repeated DUIs.
Never mind that somehow the Dems managed to completely knock out Rubio as a presidential contender because Tea Parties are furious.
And never mind that Pelosi herself has admitted that the fact that 70% of Hispanics vote Democrat was just the push Leftists needed to pass the Immigration Bill.
Many Republicans, IMHO, in general are completely disgusting individuals who are easily rolled and concerned about making sure at least they remain in office, even if in the minority.
It's much easier, in a sense, being in the minority because all you have to do is propose stuff you know won't pass, accept the amenities of special interests and the perks that come with being in office, including those free parking spots at the airport and the easy pass through avoiding TSA fingering.
Everyone knows we don't enforce the laws we have now. Why would Napolitano and the rest of the goons enforce new laws? They're not going to do it. We have border agents and their unions begging the House not to pass the Senate bill. Shouldn't they have a good idea of what's really going on at the border?
Instead Obama's party demonizes anyone who disagrees with them.
At this point, we're waiting for the American people to get fed up with the corrupt officials in charge of this government.
It's interesting that the Europeans suddenly have had a change of heart regarding Obama.
It's perfectly fine if this corrupt politician screws over Christians, Catholics, Jews but me? To screw over me, the Europeans cry, by recording all our conversations?!
  Mais non! Inconceivable!
You can join the Rubio naive by claiming, "Well, if you haven't done anything wrong you have nothing to worry about!"
Wrong is a relative term, is it not?
When the press can make it a war against women to ban abortions over 20 weeks--something most Americans abhor-- anything anyone does can be construed as wrong, especially if enemies are recording and have access to all your conversations.
Any judge--or Supreme Court Justice--can have their credibility damaged through bad and slanted press.
So while we may agree that the US has a right to have secrets and everyone expects that wiretapping is part of secret services each country controls, it's hard not to be somewhat sympathetic with the criminal traitor Edward Snowden when he's revealed that Obama's after all of us, even us schmucks out here who have little influence over anyone.
Well, this is the way it's going to have to go until people get tired of a world in which there are no rules and only corruption.

Electronic Frontier Foundation has collected over 500,000 signatures opposing NSA snooping

The Electronic Frontier Foundation has collected over 500,000 signature in opposition to the NSA's dragnet surveillance programs. One of the latest signatories is Sir Tim Berners-Lee, the inventor of the World Wide Web. To enter your signature just go to Stop Watching Us and enter your name, address and zip code.
Every time a person signs onto the stopwatching.us site, emails opposing dragnet surveillance are sent to that individual’s elected officials. These emails call for a full investigation and public accounting of the National Security Agency’s spying practices, reform to the law to prevent such surveillance, and holding public officials accountable for the role they played.
