White House Has Mixed Results Dealing With OWS

Tapper: The Occupy Wall Street movement has spread to over a hundred major cities and threatens to become violent. What is the White House doing to quell this anger?

Carney: First let me point out that this movement started during the Bush administration. Secondly, er-a-er the President is meeting with Arab leaders who-er-he-a thinks might have some insight into the causes of-er-a-er the unrest being that it's part of a world wide movement.

Tapper: So how's that working out?

Carney: We've had mixed results. Er-er we suffered a small set back. But he is reaching out to people in the movement itself and we will try isolate a few moderate radicals who we can deal with. Also the first lady will try to get them interested in growing zucchini and Brussels sprouts beings that many of them are in parks. Michelle ran into Senator Boxer at Target the other night while she was picking up some Copenhagen for her mother and the Senator was very excited about getting the demonstrators biodegradable drinking cups so they wouldn't be using styrofoam. So I think we're making some progress.

Tapper: You suffered a small set back?

Carney: Well, sometimes when you're moving fast the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing.

Tapper: And?

Carney: Errrr-er Well uh one of the Arab leader he planned to meet with was killed.

Tapper; That's awful! Who?

Carney: Anwar Awlaki

Tapper: He's a terrorist.

Carney: Yeah, I read that in the newspaper a few weeks ago but the president thought if we could get him to come back we could get him a pardon and give him Van Jones' old job. With Glen Beck not on Fox anymore he could have made a real contribution. Okay, he wasn't perfect but personally I could tolerate him a lot easier than some transgendered hippie freak in Zuccotti Park moaning about being unemployable.

Tapper:: Today Attorney General Holder announced the arrest of Iranian living in Texas who was trying to hire a Mexican drug cartel to assassinate the ambassador from Saudi Arabia. Is this the same drug cartel he has been arming through Operation Fast and Furious?

Carney: I'll have to refer you to General Holder on that, Jake. As you know gunwalking started under the Bush administration. I can say the President has complete trust in Eric Holder and has taken steps to make sure Sharyl Attkisson is not invited to the White House Correspondent's Dinner. Furthermore Congress needs to move on from this distraction and pass the President's jobs bill now instead of protecting millionaires and billionaires who fly around with the Koch brothers on their corporate jet.

Tapper: Thank you.
