So we cut NPR funding, but we're funding the BBC?

So let me get this right.
Republicans are trying to stop funding NPR because it's so biased and left wing.
And we're fighting off internet censorship from our own government through net neutrality and FCC power grabs.
But now we, American taxpayers, are going to start funding the BBC, the notoriously leftist channel of liberal hate.
And why are we doing this?
We're doing this because the BBC is fighting state censorship in places where they want to control what goes out over the radio waves.
So does this mean that the FCC will demand playing the BBC on all our local radio stations?
The BBC also expects to use state department money to help combat internet censorship by establishing proxy servers that give the impression a computer located in one country is in fact operating in another, thereby circumnavigating attempts by repressive governments to block websites.
And, in this case, "give the impression" means lie, in the most transparent government in history, which actually goes along pretty well with the software they've created to trawl social network and news sites to post positive comments about the administration.
Sounding more like Pravda every day.
