One has to ask, if you are a candidate standing on principle why you need to trash the opposition. Of course, everyone does it. We guess. But why is it necessary if you aren't feeling threatened by the supposedly inferior, ineffective candidate? Why?
Over at 13 ABC is a rundown of this story and this statement from Marcy Kaptur, which is REALLY nice and civil:
The Kaptur campaign released this statement: "The truth is Rich Iott is no job creator. He is a job destroyer. Rich Iott sold Food Town and more than 5,000 people lost their jobs." She continues, "Iott can gloss over it all he wants. Rich's rush to cash out on his dad's business cost more than 5,000 families their livelihoods."Is it true that, once you run a company, if it goes out of business or merges, you're always responsible for every job that is lost when that happens? I guess it's better to be a congress critter where all you do is funnel money to your friends and wreck jobs. Yeah, that's more effective.
Oddly, Ms. Kaptur was a "failed grocer," something of which she accuses Iott.
Ja notice all the Iott signs around town?
Hm.
Send Rich Iott to Washington - get him the hell out of Ohio!!!!!!!
