Brilliant plan

  So on one hand, we have people who want to put a mosque in a place where city residents do not want it; in addition, many suspicious circumstances surround the appearance of the buyers of the mosque, their finances and the purchase of the building.
  The mayor of the city in which it resides is condescending toward those who are offended; it's unAmerican, he cries, as do many others, falling back on the old "We allow everything over here due to our freedom [except for putting up crosses, praying in church, singing the national anthem at the Lincoln Memorial but I digress] so we should allow this too."
  Brilliant.
  Just because you can do it, doesn't mean you should do it.
  Now in Florida we have a minister of GOD encouraging his congregation to have a burn Koran day.
  Leaving aside the violent peevishness of some people to whom that book is important, why on earth would you call yourself Christian and set about to inflame a group of highly inflame-able people?
  Granted, some people do not honor The Holy Bible, which this church claims to value. 
  Does this make it right to destroy another religion's holy book? How does that make sense? How do you justify behaving like this? In addition, why on earth would you want to draw this kind of wrath upon yourself in some form of distorted idea of patriotism? 
  Just because they can do it, doesn't mean they should do it.

But Terry Jones, pastor of the 50-member Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville, Fla., says not even protests and death threats will deter him. He told MyFoxOrlando.com that he and the church's members feel strongly about their decision to hold the book burning despite being denied a permit from the fire department. 

The definition of irony: The church's name is the DOVE World Outreach Center.
Advice: Turn the other cheek. Somebody spiritual said and did that. Take his advice.
