One month before the raid on the consulate in Benghazi Ambassador Stevens spelled out in no uncertain terms the dangers to the mission and himself in a classified cable to the State Department. The cable reveals the ambassador's mistrust in the so called 17th February Militia Brigade that was charged with his personal safety. Catherine Herridge and Jennifer Griffin, both of Fox News have both received considerable classified and inside information on the events surrounding the Benghazi raid probably due to the fact that only Fox News is actively pursuing this story. Clearly there are many in the State Department and or in the intelligence community who want the facts before the public.
