EPA set to crush coal industry

  As if they haven't done enough already to shut down the coal industry, it appears the enviro-wackos are scrambling to enact new onerous regulations that will shut down coal and thus make power more expensive or impossible to get.
  The Washington Examiner:

More than 50 EPA staff are now crashing to finish greenhouse gas emission standards that would essentially ban all construction of new coal-fired power plants. Never before have so many EPA resources been devoted to a single regulation. The independent and non-partisan Manhattan Institute estimates that the EPA’s greenhouse gas coal regulation will cost the U.S. economy $700 billion.

  Not only will this be expensive, it will also be difficult to stop. A record number of coal plants have shut down in 2012 and more are on the way. 
  Consumers will pay more.

  It's nice to know that the coal guys are finally on board against Obama, but we tried to tell 'em before. People ought to do their research before they fall for the whole hopeychangey thing.
