MSM's psyops against conservatives continues

So a few months after The One's election, the MSM/talking heads line went like this:
This guy's like God. Nobody could ever beat him. Don't even bother considering running against him.
Meanwhile, every time attention was drawn away from Moochelle's arms and Obama's abs, this line of reasoning developed:
Who does Sarah Palin think she is, talking against Obama, up conservative viewpoints and considering a run against the most intelligent Democrat ever to inhabit the White House?
As the field began to grow, by necessity the narrative changed:
Where are all the candidates to run against Obama? They know he's formidable and going to win again so no one can even dream of running across him.
This reasoning evolved over time to:
All these candidates running against Obama are weak. It's a very weak field. No one likes any of the candidates running against Obama so he wins, by default. Ta da!
And then they fretted, even though the next election is still very, very far away, by political standards:
Why aren't Rick Perry and Sarah Palin getting into the race? What are they waiting for? Time is getting is short!
Today the freaking out continues, with the MSM chortling that Obama has raised more money than all the Repub candidates combined. To advantage the left wing candidate, they are ratcheting up the importance of this fundraising and ignoring all the discontent expressed by former Obama admirers. Ace breaks it down pretty well:
So where is the MBM's $86 million number coming from? They're adding the DNC's haul to the President's. Last quarter the DNC brought in $38 million from fund-raisers hosted by the President. It's a bit apples and oranges, though, isn't it? Much of the DNC money will go toward paying for things other than the presidential election.
The problem with all this official fretting is that, for most of us in flyover country, we aren't endorsing candidates with cash until we figure who we like. Most of us are weighing candidates and their various pros/cons.
These are classic psyops used by the MSM to defeat conservative candidates before they are even out of the box.
