It looks like the can of worms that has been opened may be scooped up and stuffed away in the garbage soon, as leaders of the Ground Zero mosque project appear to be backing away from the project due to the ground swell of protests against it. Another explanation might be that, now that Obama has entered into the fray, ingloriously irritating most American citizens and putting democrat candidates on the spot for the next election. It would appear that, to protect the democrat party, this project may be defunct. Read about it here.
