57% reject government health care

  Gee, I wonder why. Could it be all the British reports about urine and feces soaked neglected patients, people who die in their beds because they're ignored by hospital staff, the accessibility to sex change operations but not to life saving drugs? Could it be the fact that most people believe their companies will drop their own insurance even as Democrats push for a public option to close out all private insurers? Could it be the 158 new layers of federal departments that will help "manage" the health care, just as the "managers" facilitate service at the post office? Could it be all the baby boomers who are approaching their elder years and are cognizant of Obama's view that the elderly should just take their happy pills rather than get the hip replacement surgery? I could go on. Here're the Rasmussen results:

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 57% of Likely U.S. Voters say the recently passed health care law will be bad for the country.  That’s the highest level of pessimism measured since regular tracking began following Congress' passage of the law in late March.  Thirty-two percent (32%) say the health care plan will be good for the United States. 

  In more newspeak, the government is now pushing an Andy Griffith video touting all the wonderful things government health care will be doing for you. And guess who's paying for it? The taxpayer. The taxpayer who does NOT want government health care is being forced to pay for the images of indoctrination. There's a rash of this going around, with that silver tongued charmer Alan Grayson sending out a dvd of all his "accomplishments" at taxpayer expense.

Part of it is strategic: Medicare is reportedly spending an initial $700,000 to air the ad on Lifetime, The Weather Channel, and other senior-friendly channels in hopes of winning over seniors. Is it a coincidence that the midterm elections are only three months away?
